The backing plate is not 6" on Griots polisher, it is a tad over 5.5" . All of Griots pads are 6". I was thinking of the 6.5 CSS for my Griot's polisher. Thanks for the responses.

I discovered Griot's Garage a few years back. Long before I stumbled across Autogeek. I have the older version of Griot's polisher. I read somewhere that it was the P/C 7424 just rebranded for Griot. It has the same type of handle that is on the new one, and it is very nice, the way it is...

I have noticed that Lake Country has a "jeweling" CSS pad now. I have not found any mentioned of it in any threads I have read on jeweling. Was curious why, a new product no one has tried? , or a re-colored pad so the manufactuer can make a little more money? , or maybe too soft to be effective...

I am getting ready to detail my car and wantes some info. Thinking about using some Menerzna polishes for the first time. My car, 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, Black Mica paint. Had some water spots I could not get out last time I polished.(Griots polish #3), so was thinking maybe using Menerzna Power...

this is good news...been wanting to try Menzerna products..this makes it easier. Now my question. It looks like Power Finish is a one step polish, so the ad states, but should it be followed up with the Micro polish or Nano polish? I drive a black car.

Spring is here, and getting ready to detail the car. My question is, what's the best clay out there? Are there differences? Any help would be appreciated...thanks
