    Getting rid of key scratches

you might want to get the Poorboys 'assortment' of their polishes. small bottles but it'll give you a feel for what strength you need and frankly, w/ spot repairs, the small bottle (4oz?) will be enough. I think you're going to want SSR2.5 or 3. Check this chart...

    Headlight 'touch-up'

Thanks Mike. I didn't know that. No, no visible coating failure on the lens assembly. Maybe I'll start w/ some form of pre-wax cleaner or move to something like Menz 3500 or Poorboy Pro II w/ a white or black pad.

    Headlight 'touch-up'

I have an older Infiniti FX35 that, thanks to AG and you guys now looks great :) What would you recommend for touching-up the headlights? They are NOT all yellow and cloudy but actually in very good condition (very clear but w/ some sand/road 'rash') Can't help but wanting to polish them up...

pad size for edging and tight convex curves

Thanks. I decided to go w/ 1" pads on the GG3 for private reasons. Yea, it might take a bit longer than 2" on the GG3. There will probably be some tape involved too, like on the hood line for the PPF, etc.

    Best 3 step method

I don’t think that if you are maintaining the finish properly, there is much need for repeated 3 steps. You should be able to clay, some finishing polish or HDSpeed and LSP. Never take off more than you need to.

First time paint correction - Product recomendations

you can try Poorboys Black Hole Glaze or Prima Amigo. I think Wolfgang/Pinn. has a glaze product too. And maybe 3M also.

pad size for edging and tight convex curves

Thanks Mike. Is this what you're referring to: Griot's Garage BOSS 2 inch Orbital Conversion Kit I already have the 3" BP and a bunch of NIP 3" LC pads (maybe not 'thin' though) and was going to use that on the GG6. Do you find that this is worth the time vs. taping off?

pad size for edging and tight convex curves

I find myself w/ a GG3, GG6 (5" BP) and a Makita 5000 (too many AG sales :D) I was considering using the GG3 (or 6) w/ 1" or 2" BP for doing edging instead of bothering w/ taping. Good idea? Bad idea? I'm not really sure it's actually a time saver. Same sort of thinking on a car w/ serious...

    What product should I get?

if they haven't been maintained, then I think it's a judgement call but the hinges and pillars get pretty disgusting. So I generally APC -> spray wax (Opti) or maybe a spritz of OptiSeal

+1 Optimum PowerClean. This stuff impresses me more and more w/ it's versatility and power. Dilute 3:1

    Sanding discs for headlights

Hahahahaha, my wife is freaking out since I brought all of the detailing liquids, pastes etc and gallons into the house for the winter. Completely out of control.

    Sanding discs for headlights

Perhaps AG would consider re-packaging a selection of disks into a smaller 'assortment' usable by us amateurs instead of a 50 or 20 pack.

    Need Tire Shine Recommendations

Yes. It's the closest I've found that looks like the tire was just unwrapped & installed. A really nice deep satin if that’s the look you're going for.

    Need Tire Shine Recommendations

Hmm, interesting. I could order it and then an hour later got an email saying it was B/O'd. Maybe I got lucky in the queue. Yea, I'd call or email and request a 'rain check' on the item. I guess a couple of months ago when I asked them to stock it, they only got a smallish # of cases of the...

    Need Tire Shine Recommendations

Just order it and it'll be backordered and they'll send it to you when it comes back in stock. Otherwise, you may miss out on the intro pricing etc etc. You most certainly do not have to wait till it's in-stock to order it.

Ditto. 3 bottles (cannot go wrong for the sale price along w/ the 20% coupon), basically 3 for 1.

    Sanding discs for headlights

I see Abralon makes a kit of 3" disks starting w/ 500 and working it's way to 4000. I got the McKees 37 headlight 'kit'. Very unimpressed w/ it, esp. for the cost but then I think most of the M37 line is overpriced relative to other products but I will try the N914 when I get a chance (and...
