thanks. that is counterintuitive because coatings are like clearcoats and if applied to paint, esp black, they do show swirls over time. I am afraid that it will be the same on my dark tinted windows... I guess not according to at least your experience. I guess ill have to try and see.

Why should I buy opti glass or opti coat or whathave you from this site if no one has durability reports on the product? My question is a real one because it is the whole point of the coating. Do fine swirls that may be introduced on the glass coating become visibile the same way swirls are...

Rain water typically won't leave water spots because rain water is in effect distilled water, which should be much more soft than hose water or any kind of water. So I dont have an explanation as to why you are having hard water, unless perhaps its acid rain, or water that bounced off...

By scratches on glass i mean swirl marks now possible on glass because of the opticoat. If i put opticoat on my windows, i can accidentally put swirl marks on them now. From my experience non coated glass does not swirl easily if at all... ever. Isn't this a valid concern? Thanks in adv

He claims to have extended the hose. I couldnt get it to work. I replied incorrectly because I misunderstood what he meant. I think its easiest to just buy a hose of the length desired and disregard the SJ hose altogether, life will be much simpler that way.
