I would say that 200 grit is way too aggressive to start. I'd go 600, 1000, 2000, and see where you're at. Clearcoat is funny sometimes, as it doesn't always fill like it should especially on clear plastics. I'd recommend polishing them out with a compound and polish too and then using...
