    Pad and Microfiber towel washer

I LOVE chocolate chip cookies, don't make me. I'm actually a pretty good cook, another hobby of mine. I used my Sun Joe electric pressure washer, the 15 degree nozzle. I got just close enough to take the stain out, I didn't go all the way up to it. The towel seemed the same when I laid it out...

    Pad and Microfiber towel washer

I'm sure most of us have seen the pad washer bucket. The one with the bucket cut out at bottom to prevent backsplash, and you basically pressure wash your pads on top of the grit guard that is set higher up. I tried to search and find the original post I had seen, but no luck. Here's a video...

    first time headlights

Well, here's the headlights redone again. Process: Wetsand 800, 1500, 3000. Optimum Compound on Optimum cutting 3.5" microfiber. Optimum Polish on Optimum polishing 3.5" microfiber. All using 3" backing plate on a GG6. They still had some, I dunno what to call it, micro marring maybe? I...

No I didn't. That won't help if you're trying to compare either, since you only get 1 brand at a time.

    search function

When you search for something, and it's out of stock, it won't show up at all in results. It's very annoying, I got confused wondering if maybe it's been discontinued. I had to use Google to find the Autogeek direct link to product which showed out of stock. Then I could finally add it to the...

Take a look at dirty windows and oxidized clear coat

I have ceriglass and glass pads, or is that overkill for what you see? Regular compound won't create new scratches will it? I have Optimum Compound available.

Take a look at dirty windows and oxidized clear coat

I'm not trying to get perfection, just best advice. I won't be repainting the car or anything. If wet sanding won't help I'll just follow the same polish that I use elsewhere on the vehicle when I get to it. Whatever it does on the sun spots I'll live with...

    Review: Sonax Glass Cleaner

I LITERALLY just came inside from cleaning neglected glass and I must agree. I definitely can not say the same things about it as your review of Sonax.

Take a look at dirty windows and oxidized clear coat

I agree. The sun is brutal, you can see it on clear coats and headlights in every single parking lot guaranteed. What would be your approach to it though? Wet sand some of it?

Take a look at dirty windows and oxidized clear coat

Well I washed and coated windows today with Meguiars window cleaner, microfiber, and rainx on a paper towel since the crazy South Florida rains have started. Opti-clean on inside of glass. I hope you can see in the pic, there's almost a permanent residue of what looks to be water drippings on...

Headlight Restoration, Finishes, Process, Tools, and Discussion! Advice Welcome!

I use the GG6 with 3" backing and 3" microfiber pads. Also using Meguiars sand disks, and I agree I should have spent more time on the sanding stages too. I use Optimum polish and finished with Opti-lens. Like others said, it won't last for an outdoor parked car here in Florida for over a year...

    first time headlights

I'd have to disagree when they use a word like permanent, especially from Optimum who says they work directly with car manufacturers.

    first time headlights

Just as an update, the Opti-Lens did not hold up. I posted on Dec 2013, they were already foggy again how they are currently actually, and have been that way even in Dec 2015, so not even 2 years of protection.

I'm BACK! One step correction on black 96 Chevy Impala SS

Ok thanks. The directions on cream gave suggested RPM speed but I don't think that's an exact transfer to Orbits Per Second or Minute? or however it's recorded, so that's why I wasn't sure what speed to use. We sort of did the right thing then by upping speed. We figured some pressure was...
