On tires with aggressive markings or sidewalk tread I use Perl in a fine mist spray bottle and just deal with wiping off overspray from the wheel. I get the most even coverage this way. Others use paint brushes and have good luck that way as well.
Next time, fill your bucket with a hot water and ONR solution. The hot water softens the rubber and the ONR provides lubrication which helps prevent marring.
I own and use Flex and Rupes machines. With that said, I always reach for a Flex when heavy cutting is needed. My Rupes machines did not play well with MF and wool pads. Couldn't get them to stay spinning. And yes I used "technique"! Lol! Rupes machines are great for light correction and finish...
I've been using Stoner Tarminator to remove dried compound and wax from plastics, around and inside emblems, and on panel edges with excellent results.
No I do not own a Rupes 21 due to the fact that I never was really all that impressed with the mini or the 21ES that I do own. I'm sorry that you can't handle the fact that many people prefer the Flex line of tools over Rupes but to call others ignorant or claim that they are dishonest based on...
Only if you don't wipe off the excess product. I've been using it for over 2 years now. Spray it on, spread it out, let it dwell for a few minutes, and then buff off the excess. Once dry the mats aren't slippery at all.
The Rupes is like a woman, you have to treat it right and finesse it all the time or it'll stop working for you and everyone else will say it's your fault. I have multiple rupes machines and only reach for my mini to do intricate areas because Flex refuses to make a mini forced rotation. With...
To be completely honest, I'm not so sure chrome can even be "corrected". If it were polished metal rather than electroplated chrome, then it could be refined / corrected.
