My review of the Flex 3401 and Rupes Bigfoot polishers

thks for ur evaluation; the flex is far better than the porter cable, but i think ur right, the flex can handle curves and concavities without stalling and using so much pressure vs the rupes

    flex vs rupes

own a flex, and am wondering if anyone has experience with the rupes since it has a larger elliptical coverage vs the flex; is it faster, easier to handle, etc?

wg 3.0 will certainly work well, and it lasts quite a while as well

Best LSP(s) to really bring out the Deep Impact Blue

imo clean corolla has the best advice- its all in the prep stages of polishing as most sealants and waxes will do u justice; personally like wg 3.0 sealant (wax looks somewhat more glossy, but im getting too old to keep doing the wax phase)

New user with a few questions regarding sealants

imo wg 3.0 sealant works quite well, as it's easy to apply and remove; tried the blackfire sealant (wowo) , but it doesn't seem to last as long as the wg sealant; haven't used wax in several yrs since the sealants are now so easy to use

    removing those tiny stubborn scratches

just detailed 07 ranger (white); used wg 3.0 swirl remover with flex and orange lc ccs pad; did 4-5 passes on 5-6 speed; then used wg finishing glaze speed 4 same passes; still had fine "scratches" ; areas on hood went over twice with swirl remover and still couldn't quite get rid of the small...

    polishing issues

thanks to all for ur suggestions; mabe its the heat, already bout 95 degrees here in dallas; also might be using too much product;spd 5-6 for flex with wg swirl remover and spd 4 for finishing glaze; will try less product and cleaning after each section; going 5-6 passes for each product

Taking the plunge (large order)...Am I missing anything?

its a personal thing; I like the wolfgang swirl remover 3.0, finishing glaze, and sealant; had a porter cable , then bought a flex; the flex is much better imo and well worth the extra

    Sealant bonding

the concept of using ipa wipedown is to remove any residue before applying sealant; this will aid in sealant bonding after polishing
