More Menzerna Confusion...and Maybe a New Powerlock

I wasn't sure about this either. I thought it was a backwards Datsun/Nissan type situation which had me somewhat dissapointed.

    Old polishers worth anything?

As the old saying goes, they're worth what some one's willing to pay for them. I really like your display idea but I wouldn't pay more than $30 for any of those and I would probably spend way to much time "restoring" them. What would a customer with a 50 or $70,000 car think when they walked...

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Hahah right on man! I work in a shop environment and uh, didn't need another reason to get my chops busted! Haha but in all seriousness I just personally didn't care for the pink and I have paint ready to spray all day. The normal Flex was $400, and I got mine on BF with both discounts. To each...

    Need some live help! Menzerna/3M/DA/Rotary

Yes I was using the waffle pads. A couple of things I experimented with. I think the 3500 and 3800 were better suited with the softer blue 3M pad than it was with the black. Using the 3M polish with the black pad, the panel finishes the same as 3500 with the blue. I applied this knowledge and...

    Need some live help! Menzerna/3M/DA/Rotary

You as well Mike. Since the call I decided to ditch the DA, and the black 3M polish pad for rotary and only use the ultra fine blue pad. The 3500 and 3800 finished out MUCH better with the blue at 1400rpm. I'm going to take a break and read those links. Thanks again!

    Menzerna products

I have tried the FG & PG 400. It doesn't really cut it (hahah) compared to the 3M. Definitely need to try the 300.

First time wet sanding kit - #3000 & #5000 Trizact Sanding Discs

I just had a demo with our 3M rep. and was told one disc shout last an entire vehicle. I have been using these for a few years and was using to much water and would use two per vehicle. That is why Mike mentioned damp sanding and not wet sanding. You will know the disc has stopped cutting when...
