    Drying Aids over SIO2 Products

My current drying aid mixed in 1 gallon batches consists of 100 oz distilled water, 25 oz Optimum Quick Detailer, 3 oz Optimum Car Wax. I haven't used it over any ceramic based waxes or sealants. My concern was if I did use it over a ceramic wax it would clog the hydro properties of the...

    Drying Aids over SIO2 Products

So if I apply an SIO2 wax or sealant and then during maintenance washes use a drying aid should that drying aid be an SIO2 based product as well. What if anything would happen if the drying aid was not ceramic based?

    UV Protection For Headlights

I watched the video from Dimitris Garage and his test on Optimum car wax and its claim of UV protection. I'm shocked that a car care manufacturer would overstate the capabilities of their product:D To be honest I cant think of an industry that hypes their products more than the car care...

    UV Protection For Headlights

I kind of did a lot of research on different treatments. Most folks reported about a year of protection with a ceramic treatment and about six months with a dedicated UV liquid treatment. Then there were those that painted a clear coat on. That seemed like the most hassle and most potential to...

    UV Protection For Headlights

No I don't think so as I started out with 1500 and was using a lot of lube. But my impression is one must maintain some UV protection as it diminishes over time.

    UV Protection For Headlights

So I just used some 1500, then 2500, then Meguiars 105 followed by 205 on my 2013 Tacoma head lights. This is first time they ever had this treatment and although it lives outdoors 24/7/365, they were really only mildly hazy. They cleaned up quite nicely. So I then contemplated treating them...

SLIM Extended Reach Wheel Barrel tools

Excellent idea. Brushes are $70.00 which is about $50.00 too much. This is 70 cents. I know what I am going to do. Can even make a double ended with an angle on opposite end.

    Brake Dust on Wheels?

What I am saying is it is much more likely that anything cast off the rotor to be found in the wheel well rather than on the exterior lip of the wheel due to the position of the rotor. It is possible that in the event of material being cast off by the rotor not 100% of the cast off material to...

    Brake Dust on Wheels?

Due to the position of the damage on the outer/outside lip of the wheels I can't see how it would be from anything cast off of the rotors. The centrifugal forces would cast anything off of the rotors either into the wheel well or depending on what degree the wheel was turned out between the...

    Brake Dust on Wheels?

Looks to me like the paint has failed for some reason. It is possible that the failed paint was caused by something that was applied to the wheels but more than likely there was some contaminant on the wheels before they were painted.

    Carpro Darkside; blotchy, streaky??

The dressing was applied to a new set of tires correct? You most likely didn't wait long enough before dressing your new tires. They are still outgassing would be my guess.

    Good Score

So I’ve been given a cease and desist order from the wife about buying stuff from the Mac Discount website, but not before I made another detailing score. Yesterday I got a brand new Gauntlet (Rag Company) drying towel for $4.00. But I have to admitt they haven’t all been winners. About a month...

Wanted to share the following with the folks that frequent this site as can't think of anyone else that would know what I was talking about much less give a hoot. I just bought a brand new IK Multi Pro 12 off of one of those resale websites and it was local to me so I just picked it up. Didn't...

Cleaning Wash Mitts And Drying Towels

Just a follow up to the questions. Do you wash all your towels in one load? By that I mean your smaller microfiber that you may have used during the wash with your drying towels? In the past I have washed separately microfibers that I have used to remove polish from those that are used with...

Cleaning Wash Mitts And Drying Towels

Would like to hear some others take on their routines. I do both rinseless washes and traditional 2 bucket contact washes depending on which vehicle and other factors. For the rinseless washes I use the sponge and for the traditional shampoo washes I prefer wash mitts. For both methods I use...

    Products Similar To Zaino Z5

Forgive my ignorance but I have a couple questions about Zaino products. 1. Are there any other products that work as Z5 does. By that I am referring to the ability of the product to fill minor swirls and scratches without having to do a traditional polishing with a DA polisher. 2. When using Z5...
