You coming to DetailFest III ?

I really wish I could make it, but I already have a trip to Mexico planned for May and the wallet just won't stretch that far.

Thank You AG for 12 fun days.

Agreed Jimmie, it was definitely very nice of AG to do the 12 Days, I enjoyed seeing so many forum members win some amazing prizes!

    Autogeek Detailer’s Tool Bag

Will a rotary fit in there? If so my order will be in ASAP, as my rotary does not fit in the other AG bag.

    Menzerna IP Q

I would follow up with a finishing polish and light polishing pad to jewel the paint before LSP, just to be sure I have the best surface possible. Like Justin mentioned, some can achieve this in one step, but I always follow-up just to be safe.

Pads, Compound, and Polish to use with Rotary...

I would say the essentials in the Optimum line would be OC and OP. I've found OC is very pad dependent, and can correct some pretty significant defects without having to step up into a higher-abrasive compound.

Flex 3401- how safe is it?

Russecu -Thanks for your input regarding the Flex. Much appreciated!

    Extractor

Well like HighEnd said, you can get a LGCM for $50-70 and it will do a decent job. But if you're using it constantly and money isn't much of an object then get a commercial extractor. Most I've seen are in the $500-1000 range, and probably the most popular make would be Mytee. I've also heard...

Pads, Compound, and Polish to use with Rotary...

Agree with budman, if you already have CCS pads now, just get a backing plate for the rotary and you're good-to-go. And I've used RMG and Pink Moose (50% RMG, 50% VMG) with Menz line with no problems at all. (Clearkote's glazes are by far my favorite glazes)

Pads, Compound, and Polish to use with Rotary...

Well a good start to answer your questions would be to know what products you already have at your disposal. You can't go wrong with anything out of the Menzerna line or Optimum line for use with a rotary. For my rotary work, I use CCS pads, mainly white and orange, along with SIP/106ff or...

    OUCH! Kinda Scary

They had a problem similar to this the one year in downtown Philly where huge chunks of ice were falling off one of the buildings and on the surrounding sidewalks/streets. A few people were hurt if I remember, and they had to block off some of the surrounding streets. Pretty crazy stuff!

Optimum as a FINISHING polish? (i.e. WHITE LC CCS PAD?)

Agree with the others, OP and a white pad will yield VERY nice results! It's the only other mild polish I'll use beside 106ff, and the only line I'll use when working in the sun.

Flex 3401- how safe is it?

That's the part that is the hardest for me right now. I can't really figure out which way to go....

    How durable is collinite 845iw?

I've used both 845 and 476s and can say that these are probably the most durable carnauba waxes on the market. To me they are more of a polymer sealant than anything. With the Klasse products underneath, you should be fine in the paint protection department.

Flex 3401- how safe is it?

Those are some really good questions budman. I'm interested on hearing more feedback regarding the Flex. I'm really torn right now whether to get the Flex or not. I currently have a PC, UDM and a cheapo rotary that I'm getting quite proficient with. I had my mind set on getting a Metabo...

    Nintendo Wii

Same here, I haven't touched my Wii (:D) in at least 4 months. My 360 gets pretty much all of my gaming and is more suited to my tastes. Halo 3 and COD4 are keeping me plenty occupied right now that I just don't ever use it. I'm probably going to Ebay my Wii in the coming days, as I'm sure...
