AM I Missing any products for My new detail biz I just started?

Back-up polisher, ya never know. You also might want to invest in some more polishes. The ones you mentioned may not always be the right ones for the job. And maybe a lower end wax, Dodo can be expensive and people may not want to pay for that extra.

Scratching the car with Rinseless/Waterless wash?

I use the rinseless wash most of the time and haven't seen any wash induced marring yet. I usually use 1 mitt and 1 or 2 lg drying towels with one sm drying towel for the final wipe. Here's some pics from my last wash (lsp is OC 2.0) Damn, have to wait till I'm at the comp

    Lexus RX350 - My Kryponite...

Sorry to hear this, doesn't sound like any fun. I don't know anything about Exo so this might be pointless but I have to ask. Can this coating be cleaned(like OC) with things like Iron-X, Tar-X or an APC or would that remove the coating? Something to consider, maybe the bonded contaminants were...

Who has had Opti Coat 2.0 on their car the longest??

Haven't and don't plan to for a couple years. When and if I need to I'll reapply OC 2.0, or something new that strikes me.

I'm baffled - still have swirls after hours of work

Haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this was asked already. Are they all over or localized to that area, the trunk? And if they're all over please post some pics of other problem areas.

Who has had Opti Coat 2.0 on their car the longest??

Flashed~when applying, the product will become clear, like your clear coat, and the carriers evaporate away. If there's any shiny/oily residue left you simply wipe away. Leveling~when your not quick enough wiping this residue away, you must level it with something. Opt recommends their Poli-Seal.

Who has had Opti Coat 2.0 on their car the longest??

Nope. That's going to be the real test though. I applied in a roughly 110º garage. Dang, now i'm remembering the sweat that went into it. It flashed real fast so I had some leveling to do afterwards. But besides that it went nice and easy.

Who has had Opti Coat 2.0 on their car the longest??

Short term here. I applied it to my truck and car back in April/Mayish. I follwed my normal routine of weekly or so washes through the summer and then decided to slow it down some to test. Every 3 or 4 weeks washes were still as easy as can be. I've done a couple rinseless washes since it really...

    Burned paint on first try

It is possible. I believe Mark, five point o?, has some experience with this from when he polished his vette. Hopefully he chimes in. And yes, please post some pics.

Is my opticoat 2.0 application holding ? 45 days after...

Not very good examples or comparisons, sorry. The point of this stuff is not to rid yourself of washing for good, it's for making it easier when you do. There is still some maintenance needed. I can totally see why you would tell your clients their vehicles need special attention twice a...

Been using ONR as clay lube, looking for something better...

I don't doubt this, I've just never felt that the DP I use wasn't slick enough for the job. If I used the UWW from the start I would prob stick with it unlessI felt it wasn't up to task.

    Porter Cable 7424XP

The one in the box or the pad kits from AG? I ordered a kit awhile back with the 6 1/2" pads and did my first correction with them, it went great. A little practice and I had no issues keeping the pads spinning and achieved super results. So, the machine can be used with either size pad with no...

Been using ONR as clay lube, looking for something better...

Can I ask, what exactly isn't the ONR doing for you? I use DP Rinseless for this, I believe they're the same thing minus smell, and can't tell a difference from any QD or anything else I've used. So it comes down to price and it's right with this product for me. Just something to think about.
