From Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover to AOI?

Thanks for your thought, that's what I'm leaning towards also since it's a daily driver and the paint already isn't perfect. I guess my biggest worry was if the TSR would leave any scratches that need removed with a finer polish. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

From Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover to AOI?

Hey everybody, I'm looking for some input. I just bought a Griot's 6" and converted my PC 7424xp to 3" The car in question is a 2013 Gray metallic Chevy Cruze with some light dealer installed swirls. I used Mckee's 360 with my PC and they are still there. I'll be using the GG6 now that I have...

    newbie question

Great advice from TMQ. I actually have a bottle of Mckee's 360 up for "trade" that I opened last week. There's at least 15 Oz of the 16 Oz bottle left. It's a great product, I simply have 3 different AOI's on hand and won't use it all lol. Unfortunately now I may have to try the Sonax haha Sent...

    Pad burned through!?!?

I think I was using it somewhat sparingly, although possibly a little too much. I honestly think the biggest mistake I made is using it too long. I did the roof, hood, front fender, and door with it because I only had 3 pads... I have more pads in my cart :) Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Pad burned through!?!?

Thank you for the explanation Mike, I'm amazed at how much you personally devote to this forum. I have the utmost respect for you, and I'll definitely be learning from this mistake! Heck, 1 pad for a valuable lesson is worth it [emoji3] Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Pad burned through!?!?

Ahhh, so my assumption was right! I saturated/clogged the pad trying to use it too long and caused it myself?? I figured... LOL Now, the million dollar question is WHERE DID THE PIECE GO?!?! HAHAHA Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Pad burned through!?!?

Yea, I'm really confused! This pad was only used 1 other time (last weekend) and was properly cleaned and air dried. I realize I'm still a noobie at this as it was only my 5th vehicle by machine, but I've never seen anything like it! As a side note, I'm about to order more pads and was going to...

    Pad burned through!?!?

Ok, so I used an AIO today on my truck using my PC 7424XP - 5" BP, 5.5" Lake Country beveled edge pads. I got done and was washing up my pads when I noticed the center of the velcro is just gone!! The edges of the hole appear burned. I didn't have near enough pads for the truck, so I was trying...

    Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

I completely get what you're saying about the lighter polisher, especially if you're using it a lot. I'm very interested to hear people's reviews after getting to use the thin pads on the GG3. I think part of what tipped the scale for me was that I've hear such great things about the GG6 I'm...

    Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

Good to know, thanks! I'm going to go ahead with the GG6 and convert the PC to a 3" for now. If I find it to be top heavy then I'll make a change down the road. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

Thanks for the 1st hand input. Also, that's an excellent point about the backup DA. I hadn't thought of that!! I'm definitely going to go with the GG6. This forum is awesome :) Thanks again! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

I can't speak for anybody else, but for me it comes down to price. I can't justify paying twice as much for the Rupes when I only polish a couple cars per year :) Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

Yea, that was a silly question since you said you had a GG6... Oops! OK, good to know you tried the thin pads too. I think that gives me my answer! Thanks! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

This is great information, thank you! I read that if you use the thin pads on the GG3 that it's much better, but I guess since I have the PC already it's probably the safer choice. Can you tell me how much smaller the GG3 is vs the PC? I really don't have many tight spaces to get into. Thanks...

    Convert PC 7424XP to 3", or buy Griot's 3"?

Hi all :) I am a novice, only polishing my own cars and motorcycle. To be honest, my PC 7424XP is all I need because I have a 3" lake country backing plate. The switching back and forth is a slight hassle though, so I've been considering having 2 machines. So, I have 2 ootions: 1) Convert my...

    Some wheel cleaner info...

Oh wow, now you're testing my terrible memory lol. I can't remember the name, it was some super cheap stuff from Walmart about 15 years ago lol. Possibly armor all? As for your chemistry education, you're light years ahead of me!! I have no formal education in chemistry, but I worked with...
