trouble with Menz SF4500 via FLEX

So, I'm working on a black S2000, and my typical M205 will not finish this car down hologram free, paint is way too soft. So, I got some Menz SF4500 in hopes it would work great. Now, up until this point I have ZERO experience with DAT polishes and compounds, since I have always been a M105/205...

    OptiCoat 2.0 application pricing

you use $75 worth of coating on a single car??? I get Opticoat 2.0 for $56 and it will last me 3 car. thats 'ballpark' $15-$20 per car depending on the size of the car. the reason i cut my normal $40/hr rate OFF before coating is because I am using a far more premium product at this stage of...

    OptiCoat 2.0 application pricing

I do detailing on the side (part time) for myself and only do full correction type work. I do this because I love it, and I believe I am a happy medium for people looking for something extra in the world of detailing around my area, without paying the full price of a true proessional who is...

If it works, and customers are happy...great! Sure, it's not our style of detailing and def not up to our standards...but he's making money and loving what he does. His customers see constant value in the services he provides for the price he charges...and that, to me, is what matters at the end...

    Black C6 paint correction

Not to sound like an a$$, but do your research. This method has been done time and time again by professionals with great results. Not once has it ever been reported that this has happened. Of course, hindsight is 20/20 and I'll never do it again, but reading online, its been a proven method...

    What is this?

Looks like a spot that may have been sanded at one time and not properly polished back out. A machine and compound will knock that out in no time.

What's next after the coatings craze?

I find myself thinking into the future a lot, and it's scary to think where detailing technology will be in a few years. 20 years ago everyone just washed and waxed, and that was it. Then came claybaring and the popularity of paint correction and the luxury waxes. Now coatings are the hot thing...

    Opticoat 2.0 application NIGHTMARE

Not to mention the car made 748rwhp, 798 ft lbs. It's a built LS3 with a Vortech V3 and I think methanol as well. I'll do a separate thread for the car once I get it out for finished pics tomorrow.

    Opticoat 2.0 application NIGHTMARE

Luckily I got everything cleaned up today. The marring cleaned up rather quickly via M205 and a crimson LC Hydro pad, via Makita 9227c. I redid the hood, top, and hatch all in less than 2 hours time, got the car coated, and it's now curing. Thanks for the tips, advice, and sympathy lol. I def...

Correct. I wanted to attempt to remove the coating if possible, so it would make polishing easier to remove the marring.

    Opticoat 2.0 application NIGHTMARE

Thanks. The applicator that comes with the coating sucks. That's why I don't use them. They waste too much product, too grabby, I can go on and on. This method is used very commonly and is why I chose to do it this way..shown here... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yyo_-UA8yM4]Opti-Coat...

Ya'll aren't answering my questions lol. I understand there are other methods and I'll surely use these methods next time. But are none of you surprised? This is a popular way of applying opticoat and to have it turn out like this is crazy! What to do now?
