I was having an issue with ceramic clear coat on a family members black e350. It ended up taking twice as long as I had expected, I ran out of time because they needed the car and had to skip the very last polishing step so it still has some very very light swirls that I'm going to correct later...
My site is up, was wondering what you guys thought.
MaxWax
In the FAQ there is a url, that should be a photo but the guy designing it didn't notice I had put that link in, so it should be in photo form sometime soon.
Regards,
Max
Just curious where you guys would say you make the majority of your profit? I'd say a wash & wax with an interior vacuum is my bread and butter, of course paint corrections are much more expensive but since most people don't know the difference between a swirl and a squirrel, corrections aren't...
Anyone know if there are rules about conducting business in another state? I'd like to bring my trailer to a car show in GA but I don't know if there would be rules against it since I have an FL business license.
Any typos are a result of my phone!

Max
And how much do you add for a regular vacuum and wipe down. I think it may have to do where I live because if you go on Google and search south Florida mobile detailing you can see how many detailers there are locally and how low their prices are.
Like Joe said, we can't pick a name for you but here's my input: don't put your name in the business name! My name is Max and my company is MaxWax Auto Detailing, but Max can just mean Maximum so it works out. You never know how big the company will get and years down the line if you want to...
Yeah, it's just tough to find the balance between whats too low and whats too high. Obviously I'd like to be where I'm making as much as possible but I don't know if I should just stop offering a basic wash all together. By the way, what products are you using for $15 a wash?
Ok, so from what I've gathered here today, I think I'll continue offering a maintenance wash to only past detail clients for $30, $40 & $50, and I'll recommend "The Works" to clients 1-2 times a month. I think that way I'll hopefully sell more details, or at least enough to supplement whatever I...
I think I may have forgotten to add that the reason for the "Detailer Terms" is that anything like grit guards, two bucket method etc, will be hyperlinks that will take the user directly to the FAQ.
A wash clay and wax is your least expensive service, right? Do you offer a regular wash to...
I was just thinking, although I see the up side of my cheapest service being the wash & spray wax at $60 for a regular sized car. My only concern is that although theres definitely money in just appealing to the higher end, but since the 99% of people aren't the 1%, obviously, getting excluded...
Sorry, meant for it to look like this:
-Hand wash using the Two Bucket Method with Grit Guard Inserts & a high quality, gentle automotive shampoo
-Dry using a gentle microfiber towel
-Wash & Dry Wheels & Tires
-Apply a water based Tire Dressing
-Apply a high quality spray wax
-Vacuum Interior...
So, I should remove the Max Wax wash, make my cheapest service "The Works" which would be a wash + spray wax and it would look like this?:
Services
The Works
-Hand wash using the Two Bucket Method with Grit Guard Inserts & a high quality, gentle automotive shampoo
-Dry using a gentle...
I wasn't really following what you meant by the convenience fee. Do you mean I add that fee for every service or just if it's below $50? The regular wash doesn't include any kind of wax, sorry if I'm having a stupid moment!
Thanks for all the feedback everyone!
Unfortunately where I'm located $25 is on the high side for a wash inside and out. There's an unbelievable amount of illegitimate guys driving around in their pickup trucks doing washes for $15, so it kind of drives the price down. I actually lose some...
Thanks! My plan is to have a services page with each of the different services inside of a little box to make all the information look a little less overwhelming
I just wanted to have a few more eyes take a look at this before it's online. I appreciate the feedback.
