Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

Another vote for all these slow drivers. I don't mind them hypermiling or what have you, but don't get in the fast lane to pass the semi doing 55 when you're only going 57. My van doing 80 (the speed limit here) will run you right off the road...

    Incredibly Cheap Finds

The irrationality is not knowing the paint you're working on enough to know if a $0.40 towel will do just as well as a $4.00 towel. I have a collection of "premium" MF towels (Meg's, Pak Shack, and a few Cobra) and only pull them out on Subies, some blacks, and true exotics.

    Incredibly Cheap Finds

They are a good towel and are fine on all paints but the most delicate. When I'm detailing for dollars, I'm using the least expensive method that brings the results.

    Magic Jack

Love my Magic Jack! I was able to get a custom number that is local and I have five years of service for less than one month of my old business line. It sounds like some of my money went to some real cool toys about to get pampered too!

    Carpet problems

Check Rock Auto. They sell ACC (the industry leader and a very good piece) for either $130 or $160 depending on whether or not you get the mass back. I would still try the ammonia and iron though.

    Carpet problems

I would certainly try the ammonia/wet towel and hot iron trick. Look it up on here but the technique is to saturate with a 50/50 ammonia/water solution, scrub, let sit for about five minutes, lay a clean wet towel over it and immediately iron it with the hot iron to steam out the stain. Repeat...

    TORNADOR,..any good?

Not sure how tight of a budget you're on, but the Central Pneumatic 21 gal 2.5 hp unit at Harbor Freight I have keeps up and it's only $180. Vegas craigslist has them sometimes for $100 used.

    Best vacuum?

The Rigid auto detailing kit ($40 at Home Depot) is the preferred choice among many of us. I'd link, but don't want to violate AG rules.

Critical Details: Lets Talk Steam Cleaners

Agreed! The dry steam can serve almost like a pre-treat to break up the dirt, but it needs a good flushing after.
