    Aluminum Body Car

There are a few companies that sell wheels and compounds that will work well for aluminum. Caswell plating and Zephyr are two examples. I have never tries any of my paint wheels or compounds on the aluminum. You will need a rotary to run the buffing wheels as you run them on edge. Get some...

We have Culvers here which is my weakness. Anybody else notice that once you quit eating fast food then decide to grab some quock for whatever reason down the road it tastes nasty? I like healthy food myself, just feel better, however the organic/natural craze is getting a little out of hand.

    Sprint or Verizon?

Costs are low when your only innovation is "squares with round corners" haha. Sorry couldnt resist, not an Apple fan either although steve jobs was a marketing genius and their "complete system" approach is nice for some.

I like the 700s. use them for waterless washes. Need to get some of the green ones some day but they have been sold out. Got some of the red/grey 600s though and they are nice. I see AGO carries the 700s now too, at least they look the same.

    Starting A Mobile Detail Rig

If you need more lights, get on eBay and buy a case of the square LED worklights. They are about 1500lumens, 4" square, and you can get a case of 10 from China for $250 or so. I use them on our equipment for the infrequently used lights. They would be cheap for you to put in and take very little...

Used FG400 For First Time Today

Really liking this stuff for the type of work I do. Bottle is nearly half gone. While working on this tractor today some I tried the Power Gloss as I felt bad for it. I bought it, used it a little before the FG400 and now it sits in the corner. After one section it went back to the corner...

    Glass polishing?

I've used the Ceriglass and Rayon pads. You need a rotary to get anything done really. Even then its one heck of a workout and time consuming. The windshield I was doing was heavily scratched from lots of winters plowing snow. It slowly started to look better and better but by the time I...

    TufBuf Wool

I've been using the black tufbuf wool pads as my heavy cutters. While they cut fast, I was curious if others that have experience with these feel there is something that cuts faster. I don't really polish many cars, equipment and semis are what a lot of my time goes to. These generally have...

    Products

Thats like asking what is the best tool brand, every brand has their strong points and every person has their preferences. If you limit yourself to one brands line across the board, you miss out on other brands specialties.

    microfiber towels

For the ones on here, the Miracle towel would get my vote out of the ones offered at AGO that I have tried. You dont want anything too plush for compound removal, it will aggravate you. I have some short nap borderless ones that work well for that but for a good all around paint towel the...

    Sprint or Verizon?

If you live in Illinois is US Cell an option for you? Im north of you, but they have the best customer service in my experiences and in the Midwest they have excellent coverage compared to other carriers. US Cell will still bend over for you if you need them too, the others tend to just leave...

Need advice: Flex Pe14 or Rupes 21

I would 2nd the DeWalt or Makita over the Flex. I like to keep my DeWalt away from paint as I do not want it to contaminate the paint due to it being my go to metal compounding and polishing, but on some of the recent heavily oxidized tractors and such the Flex is simply getting its but kicked...

Used FG400 For First Time Today

I also have a DeWalt 849X. I use it for my metal polishing. Its a better tool for that job and I would prefer not to cross contaminate metal dust with paint polishing. The DeWalt has a more speed and power than the Flex which is needed for metal polishing, the bale handle is also nicer since...

Used FG400 For First Time Today

Finishes very nice and I like working with it better than PG1000 Working on another one tonight. One of our employees is taking it to the tractor pull this weekend so I figure I better make it look nice. Have to do our other pumpkin too. Ill make a full thread for them when done. Heres a...

I haven't used color lock yet. Even if I did, I don't have much to compare it to really. Sorry. I like the Menz. stuff a lot.

Anyone here used a microfiber polishing pad?

I am assuming you are referring to the 3401? I noticed more walking with the MF pads on that machine as well. My worst experiences were with the PE14 rotary though.

Anyone here used a microfiber polishing pad?

My limited experience with them has not been very good. I have been trying the Lake Country style. Only used the DA ones on my 3401 once and honestly I did not have enough experience with other pad types to really compare. I have tried the rotary style on my PE14 Flex a couple of different...
