I suppose its possible if you appply a lot of pressure to it. Possibly use an indigo pad instead? The first time I used it was on this tractor, i used 5cc to do it and it was my first time, they claim 3 cars in a tube. I don't think the applicator wasted any.

    Menzerna PG1000

Here's a little bit of what FG400 can do and how nice it finishes. On stuff like this I use tufbuf wool on a rotary with the FG400 and call it a day with nothing afterwards. This was just one pass with a rotary and tufbuf. As you can see it needs more to get back to true deep orange/red...

    Opti coat

I just use the one that comes with it. Best way to avoid high spots is practice, after awhile you learn how much to apply. remember you do not need much, just a couple drops. To remove high spots use an MF to knock them down after the stuff around the high area flashes. Best to apply it...

    Menzerna PG1000

Actually I should say I use PF2500 when I simply don't need the cut of FG400. Depending on the tool, pad and technique FG400 finishes LSP ready. Even with wool on a rotary it's LSP ready for enough of the stuff I do which is single stage paint on semis and equipment. The owners want shine...

    Agressive wash for Foamer

No but saying I'd be fine using one that's not LSP safe if it did a good job. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk

Picked up a TDI Cup Edition today.

Unless things have changed, the edition 35 was only in Europe. Red stitching on the steering wheel and the shifter are the two main special items different from US GTI/GLI's.

    Bag, toolbox, or ????

If you can park your truck right where you are working, then set everything up so you can keep it organized and easily move it in and out, unless you need to be able to actually carry some things around with you. Just my thoughts. You wont want to be reaching over the bed sides all the time so...

Picked up a TDI Cup Edition today.

Finished up the rest of the exhaust a few weeks ago, this thing is maybe a bit too loud now. Sounds like a straight piped WRX STI. Louder than my older straight piped TDI thats for sure and louder than a straight piped Duramax. May add a resonator as theres really only a couple spots through...

Toolbox Tour & I got Married

Thanks, I try to. Guess I can update on everything a bit since I am getting back on here again. No offense but I really just don't get all giddy for detailing when theres snow on the ground. Depressing, but the sun's coming out and the mood is striking again, even though it decided to snow...

    Bag, toolbox, or ????

I keep all of my stuff in big plastic totes from Target. They stack up nice and out of the way, keeps everything sealed from the dust in the shop and if I need to take it with me, they all slide into the bed of a truck nice. I try to organize them by products to a point (polishes in one...

What are you trying to carry? Do you need to carry it, or is it sitting in the back of your truck? What all needs to go in it?

    Menzerna PG1000

True, I bought it before buying FG400 too. After using both, I think the FG400 would more than pay for itself in ease of use and speed. Win some loose some, it sucks, but I know the OP's position too of having a full bottle sitting there doing nothing, feels like wasted money. Could find a...

    Agressive wash for Foamer

Just ordered a foamer to use on my pressure washer and was looking for a good soap. Some of the ones I have used would take dry dust off fresh waxed paint but were pretty useless after that (Mr. Pink). I need something that cleans good, the stuff I clean is dirty. Wondering what others...

    Menzerna PG1000

My bottle of PG1000 sits idle since FG400 and the weight difference is huge. Not to mention its thick like toothpaste and feels like grit whereas the FG400 is creamy and smoother. The PG1000 is not as friendly to work with either, doesn't cut as hard and doesn't finish as nice. I'm not sure...

    First time with Opti-Coat

Opti Coat is working great. Washed it today and the road grime came off effortlessly on the coated panels and the water sheeted off leaving minimal beading behind and no sheet of ice like the uncoated panels that did not shed the water as easily. Here's a beading picture.
