I Just Witnessed a Car Door Hitting my Car :(

I'm assuming "uni chick" is referring to our local University. Since you witnessed it, did you get her contact info so you can inform her of a repair estimate (if there is damage)? Tell us you didn't let this chick just walk away without at least having a conversation about it....

How to use Detailer's Paint Coating Prep

Hi Mike, On the topic of this product, I picked up a bottle of the Coating Prep Polish in my last AG order along with the DP wheel coating, but not the paint coating. I was intending to coat the new winter wheels I just bought for my wife's new SUV. These wheels are brand new out of the box...

    Update to the wax-chart needed?

I'm surprised Meg's M81 and M7 aren't in the same column. I thought they were essentially the same product. I don't equate M81 to having similar agressiveness to M82 in my experience.

    Soaps

I think Meg's NXT Tech Wash > Gold Class. I'm not sure why they discontinued the former in favor of the latter, but I guess for whatever reasons maybe GC sold better.

I'm going to do a 2-in-1 post here, since I hadn't posted about my previous order before now. First up is my first order ever with Autogeek, during this summer's July 4th special. I got to use my new member 20% discount on this one, and also timed it with some of the "Mike Phillips' favorite"...

    Questions about Coatings- C5, C4, G1 and 2, and Opti-Lens

I can speak a bit on this one, since I just used it for the first time on the weekend on our (wife's) new 2013 Mazda CX-9. All I did was, starting with a freshly washed vehicle, did a thorough wipe-down with CarPro Eraser. Then I applied the C4 as per directions. I would've tried Gtechniq...

Yeah, I don't understand it either. Your thread title was clear enough on what the subject was. Other than AG staff of course, it'd be nice if other non-Canadian participation in threads like this was limited to providing "constructive", useful help. Rather than just the bashing and trolling.

Are High End Products Worth The Money?

You don't even need to talk in such extremes. Even the difference between something like a Chevy Impala and a base model 3-series is staggering.

As Meghan mentioned, they are an excellent option on our side of the border and I've used them myself many times before as well. But nobody can touch AG's broad product selection. :props:

    Canadian Shipping

^^ I'm sure UPS is a great option for those living the US. But I imagine the reason AG uses USPS for shipments to Canada is they know as do we that it is usually the cheaper way by far. UPS, and Fedex (and likely all the private courier businesses) charge insane fees on top of the front end...

If you can get exact box dimensions and shipping weight, that would enable you to go to the shipping company's website (in this case, USPS) and run the shipping estimate calcs yourself to check. * edit * I was typing this before seeing Meghan's reply above.
