What is the most that you've ever spent on Autogeek?

First order was around $650AUD + $300AUD international shipping. Still saved around $400 compared to buying locally & got some products that aren't available here...

    Collinite leather and vinyl wax

Does this leave the leather shiny at all or is it a matt finish?

    Favorite Car Wash Products

#1 - Dishwashing liquid or a local truck wash, with some APC or citrus cleaner if necessary, although I need to try some CG CW&G. #2 - Ultima Paint Guard Wash. Love it! #3 - Use a cannon but haven't tried enough specialist soaps yet. Currently using CG Honeydew & it's great but I need to try...

    Foaming Nozzle uses more product?

Yeah, they do use a lot but they are advertised as a "high output" sprayer in the AG description. Haven't tried OPC myself but I use Megs SD for tyres & it's great! No need for a foaming sprayer, it foams up anyway as soon as you start scrubbing... Tried Megs APC before using SD & found it felt...

Tried the two bucket wash method but feel like I failed miserably..

I have a small 5oz jug which, as above, is marked with a texta in 1oz increments, as are my wash buckets (in 1 gallon increments.) This way I fill the bucket to the second texta line, the jug to the second texta line & I know my ratio is good... As mentioned you need to add the soap at the end...

    Leather brush.

I use the stiff brush that comes in the Leatherique kit (sold separately too I think) for stubborn dirt & then have a similar, but much softer, nail brush for general cleaning. Was a bit scared of the stiff brush at first as my leather isn't brand new but have had no problems, even after hard...

    Flex fail

Every power tool states to read the manual before using but seriously, does everyone do it for everything they buy? I bought a new angle grinder the other day. I have been using one for years & not to sound arrogant but I know for a fact that reading the manual will teach me nothing, so I...

    Gray Dakota Leather BMW Cleaning

The leatherique kit worked wonders on my light grey BMW leather. Left a nice matt finish & soft feel.

    Should I Avoid a Job?

I'm not a pro detailer but I'm an auto-trans mechanic who used to do some work on the side. Anyway I would never flat out refuse work. If it's something I REALLY didn't want to do I would quote a very high price, bordering on crazy, that I expect the customer to refuse. If they refuse I get...

Which Applicator Foam pad to use for Tire Gel?

Yeah I use a soft paint brush. I'm using a spray so I spray the tyre, spread with a paint brush then come back & buff/remove excess with an old MF towel. I would try applying the gel directly to a paint brush & trying that... Also, as already mentioned, a clean tyre makes all the difference to...

Shipping Quote during Checkout for International Orders

I also don't like it as I feel guilty. i.e, if I got an instant automatic quote of $300 I would try removing various items & seeing what made a big difference to the shipping cost. But when you're asking someone to actually physically remove an item, reweigh your order, see if it can now fit in...

    I have a semi major problem...advice needed.

+1 for previously repaired paint. Unless you had a pencil-jet type of pressure-washer stream...

    Logistical Question...

I also do it so that if I get any overspray on the paint from harsh wheel cleaners it will be quickly removed when I wash. Plus if I'm getting fussy cleaning my wheels I may sit or kneel down while cleaning them. That's no fun when the ground is wet from having just washed your car

    Big Blaster Foamer Trigger Sprayer

The "spray" pattern is pretty much straight & fat, like output from a garden hose. There is no real atomisation. From memory there is adjustment but it doesn't do much...

One way to clean the carpets I guess

I like the idea :o Was going to do it when cleaning my carpets recently but found out that my foam sound deadener is bonded to the carpet which put me off. I have done it with floor mats & I'm sure I'm not the only one? Hell I even saw someone once (on here I think) pressure-washing seats...

    Big Blaster Foamer Trigger Sprayer

I have 3 of these although I mainly only use 1 for Megs APC for wheel cleaning. Creates quite a lot of foam but, as mentioned, also uses quite a lot of product. Tried it with Super Degreaser for cleaning my tyres but found I prefer that normally & also save some product. Have used 1 with Megs...
