Buying a new car...not a fun experience! **WARNING!! I RAMBLE IN WRITTING**

:iagree: My response would have been "well then order it in!" Especially if you didn't haggle with them on price, then DEMAND it's ordered in for you.

What do you see splattered all along the bottom of this car?

Wow nice save! Body solvent eh? I will have to keep that in mind for tar removal.

New Gilmour Foam Gun - odd piece?!?

If you pull off the big black foaming piece on the end of the foam gun, this goes on there. I have never found a use for it myself, but I assume it is used when covering a wide area with cleaning solution, say cleaning a concrete floor in a factory or such.

i think my brand new car was repainted at the factory

That's clearly the lighting angle because the rear quarter is on a very different angle to the sun than the door. Look at the front of the fender by the headlight.....

What to use on Car Cameras Lenses? (Backup and Side Cameras)

:iagree: I use Ultima PGP because it seems to repel dirt on paint (so assume it's doing the same on the plastic) and doesn't require buffing off after application. Gonna have to admit that when the camera gets dirty enough to impede vision I just huff on the plastic cover and wipe it with my...

    Treating wiper blades?

I wouldn't use ANY of these as they will smear an oily film all over the glass. Either use the 303 wiper blade treatment as suggested below, or what I do is use my Meguiar's glass cleaner to clean them. Whenever I clean the windscreen with the glass cleaner, I use a paper towel saturated...

    Severe Overspray removal help!

Hmmm well I was thinking using some motor oil as a lubricant then getting a hunting knife and using it to scrape it off. Then you can take a rotary buffer and use some rocks in a bottle compound with a wool pad to make it like new..... Wait, no, what?

Portable compressed air with a twist!

Good thinking. Could also be good for using to clean DA MF polishing pads when mobile detailing. Hopefully you find it suitable.

    Best LSP Survey

Ultima Paint Guard Plus hands down. Fuzion and such are nice, but the all round qualities of UPGP would make it my choice if I could only have one LSP.

i think my brand new car was repainted at the factory

:iagree: A 3M sun gun (or similar tool) should uncover if it's really mismatched paint or just the angle. I'm sure there would be a body shop around your way that would have one.

i think my brand new car was repainted at the factory

Definitely the angle. You can see its matching in other photos.

i think my brand new car was repainted at the factory

^ Can just see it in the above pic, but in the pics of your own car it's definitely highly visible. I know that bake temperature can heavily affect the final colour and flake distribution of metallic paint but I couldn't speculate on exactly what caused it on yours. Possibly that part of the...
