Web Hosting Services For Web Site.

Curious as to web hosting sites and prices. Looking at Mikes sticky from 2010, I find the hosting service no longer available. My question is what is a good web hosting service, and monthly rate you are paying for? I am currently designing a web site, but they want 6 bucks a month for upgraded...

Spray On Wax and Chamios Drying

OK, I usually dry with chamios then go back with a Spray On and wipe with MF towl. I guess I was trying to eliminate one of the two steps I currently do when using a spray on wax.

Spray On Wax and Chamios Drying

Wanted to throw this question out to you all. When using a spray wax as you are drying a vehicle, can you use a chamios as you dry and apply spray wax? I do majority of drying a vehicle with a chamios, but I am not sure if the spray on wax will affect the chamios for future use? Or is it better...

What are your rates for your services? mobile or shop?

I do like the upcharge idea for mobile services. As for me, I perfer to do the work in my garage as SKorch630 does. It would be kinda hard for me to wheel around my 33 gal compressor, and then all my product, and tools. My biggest problem right now is coming up with some packages to offer. I am...

    Which Kit for a Beginner?

I was in the same boat, I went with joe@nextleveldetail and have not looked back. The GG 6 is an awesome machine along with their products. My next purchase, will be the 5.5 conversion kit from GG. The 6.5 is a little to big for the 3 cars that I do. Just my .02

    2015 Ford Escape SE

Detailed the exterior of the Ford Esacpe SE. Did a 2 bucket wash system, dried with chamois, microfiber towels, compressed air. Once dried, I clayed the paint with Mothers Clay and Griots Garage Speed Shine. Applied Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Wax with my Griots Garage 6" random orbital buffer...

    Work with a purpose

Good Advise. For the past couple of days, I have been looking at detailers web sites, stopped in shops to get prices. My thing is that after looking at the services, a customer can become confused and make their head spin, as it did mine. I am in the process of doing detailing on the side for...

    What Compound to remove scratches?

Thanks paul_g for the info. Leaning towards the boss system, since I have used a few of their product and so far impressed with them. Getting more in depth on detailing, I certainly understand about starting out with the least aggressive compound and work from there. Being an enthusiast and...

    What Compound to remove scratches?

Pretty new to the forums here, but I am curious on what product to use to remove these types of scratches? I will be using a GG 6" polisher, and currently have GG orange pad. Or what setup and product would you recommend? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Start Up Part Time Detailing Business Strategy.

Paul_g... thanks for the advise. Today I did some poking around on what some of my area detailers are charging, the thing that really made my head spin was the various packages they offer. Around my area (Cincinnati, Oh) detailers were charging for interior clean starting around $100 to $150...

Start Up Part Time Detailing Business Strategy.

Good Advice so far. I guess I was just throwing out the 30 an hour as some sort of price reference for starters. My real goal is to target those people that have an appreciation for a nice clean vehicle, as I do.

Start Up Part Time Detailing Business Strategy.

So after being in the work force for some 35 plus years, i can say that I have found a profession that I enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I work in fiber optics as my full time job, but I would like to make some extra coin on the side. Been reading alot of good stuff here on the forums here of what to...

    Wife's 2005 Honda Accord

Well being a Newbie here, I spent the past couple of days asking a few questions around here. Want to thank everyone for their input. So after washing and waxing my wife's 2005 Honda Accord, I was just not happy with the outcome. I noticed that the paint felt gritty. A person on this forum...

    Looking For A New Buffer

My first vehicle that probably needs the most attention is a 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid that is light blue color. Yesterday, I waxed by hand and noticed on the hood, I did not have that smooth to touch finish. IMO it felt a little like sand paper. I guess that is the best wat to describe it. The...

    Looking For A New Buffer

Since this is my first post, let me start by saying Hello to everyone. I am not a professional detailer, but I enjoy taking care of my 3 vehicles. Well I used my old orbital buffer yesterday for the first time in a few years and the pad just went to crap (dry rotted). For years, I used a cheap...
