    1958 Corvette

Sweet! I swear every old Corvette's paint looks like that. Even at car shows. I'm always amazed that these guys have these incredible antiques and they just look terrible. Thank goodness they were smart enough to bring it to you.

Which product do you still use by Chemical Guys?

No I am sincerely asking how many towels people generally have. I'm a pro so towels are my #1 tool.

Which product do you still use by Chemical Guys?

I just grab a clean towel when in doubt. I estimate that I have 50 glass towels, probably 150 drying towels (bought by the case wholesale from TRC), 60 polish removal towels, 30 rinseless wash towels, etc. but I do big events like car shows and festivals where we set up a detail shop in the...

New Polisher to add to the arsenal

Hey Scott how long have you had that Hercules polisher in use? I've bought that machine from a facebook china tool page before, and it worked well but didn't last. That machine gets branded a lot of different names. The one I had said "Chechnya" for the brand name, which is weird since that's...

What's in your daily MF rotation

I literally have hundreds of towels but I always grab The Rag Company towels first.

What's your New Years detailing resolution.

Mine is to actually try to do better at online marketing. Most (all?) of my customers are word of mouth referrals.

Which product do you still use by Chemical Guys?

I like some of their products. Some are garbage (Diablo Gel wheel cleaner) I regularly use: Fabric Clean Lightning Stain Extractor Nonsense Interior Cleaner for my "No chemical " customers Honeydew Snow Foam Mr Pink, Mr Gold Signature Scent (for my own vehicle) For the price (these are some...

    Air compressors

Yes that would work. I'm not trying to convince you to buy a steamer, but it has a lot of uses around the house also. It's unbeatable for cleaning the bathroom, tiles, shower door, etc.

    Iron decon and clay combined...

Iron decon is not cheap. Clay lube is cheap. I can't see using iron decon as clay lube. That's probably 4X as much iron decon as you need to use.

    Air compressors

You will need a compressor that size to adequately supply the Tornador. For just tire maintenance and pads you could use one much smaller. How much air it delivers is the important part for a tornador. You need at least 4.5 CFM at 90 psi for the Tornador to really spin well. I had the Kobalt...

How to restore matte black finish to hard tonneau cover?

First off, my retractable bed cover manual (ReTrac) says nothing but soap and water should be used on the metal cover. However, if you think it looks bad, I would try mineral oil. Always start with a small inconspicuous place to test.

Suggest me a one-step polish with nothing left behind!

I think a One Step by definition is going to have at least a sealant in it. I always liked Blackfire One Step back in the day. Nowadays one step polishing with a ceramic sealant is my number one best selling service.

19' RPod camper cleaning polish ceramic 1 step

One step cleaning polish with ceramic on a 19" Forest River Rpod camper. There were a bunch of old decals that were removed and there was a lot of stubborn adhesive. Lots of tree mold, artillery fungus spores, black streaks, sap, bugs and more. I sprayed adhesive remover on the old glue and...

    X

Yeah, I'm talking about the basic "boost your posts" stuff. For me, my best success comes when I can get a chance to speak to someone. The sandwich board with my phone number has been great because some people are too shy to come up and ask me for a card or menu, etc. when I am working at a...

    X

I tried for 2 years. finally gave up on social media. I found only detailers look at detailer's social media LOL. My best advertising purchase has been a sandwich board sign stand that I set up on site when I have a mobile job.

Do I really need a foamer?

I think a simple pH test would tell you all you need to know.

Do I really need a foamer?

I know my local coin ops are not doing much maintaining of their systems- they all look like crap and are falling apart! I wouldn't trust them and i really doubt they are filtering out the oils.
