Which electric pressure washer? There should be a sticky

I want to get an electric power washer. I started looking at a Karcher, based on the reviews, I started looking at Sun Joe then based on experience having the thing I bought break before it did what I bought it to do I started to look at Kranzle. Somewhere between $100 and $1,000 is the right...

Care and feeding of Clay Towel

I just got through reading a thread on Nanoskin Pad Marring http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/80033-nanoskin-pad-marring-what-did-i-do-wrong-2.html I'm curious do you just rinse out your clay towel and let it dry? How do you maintain it in between uses?

Quasar Grey Metallic Suzuki Jimny - Detailed by Lawrence

LawrenceSA, Wow! Nicely done. Thank you for answering the question about your rates. I saw one of your corrections where you spent 40 hours, a white GTI, I think. I thought, good lord, 40 hours here in the US would have been cost prohibitive. Your work is superior, your eye for detail, awesome...

    Review: Ultima Interior Guard Plus+

After reading this thread, and still be miffed at the pump sprayer not working, I applied the product to my car. I really like the look, it spreads evenly and the smell isn't too bad. It's been said before but at $19.99 for 4 ounces = $639.68 per gallon. That's some valuable stuff, of course, I...

    Review: Ultima Interior Guard Plus+

The pump sprayer on the bottle I purchased didn't work at all, and I am still aggravated about it. I regret buying this product based on that alone.

    Speedy Prep Towel

I agree,my son could appreciate the vehicle more than he does. I put 170,000 miles on it before he got it, so it's worth more to us than we could get for it if we had to trade it. It's one of those very well maintained, mechanically, cars that needs to last a few more years.

    Speedy Prep Towel

My oldest son was home for his 21st birthday. He's driving my 2008 Toyota Avalon that he parks under a tree, and mostly neglects. He was headed back to Chapel Hill and I wanted to do a quick vacuum and wash. While washing I saw all the sap and other stuff stuck to the paint. I had a Speedy Prep...

    Review: Lake Country Wash Wedge

I've been using my wedge since January and I simply love it. I've used a microfiber mitt maybe once since I bought the wedge. My wedge doesn't look new, but it doesn't look worse for wear either. I'd guess I've used it at least twice a week since Jan. It's holding up beautifully, it does a nice...

Trying not to buy any more wax.

FUNX725, thank you for pointing that out. I didn't feel my question was desperate, the question I discovered I was really asking was, "In your experience is Auto Finesse any better than anything I'm currently using?" I feel like the answer I got was no, probably not.

Trying not to buy any more wax.

I'm in Roxboro, NC. I'd love to trade you something in my stash for whatever's left of your Spirit. I've got Rain Forest Rub, Dodo Juice Rubbish Boys Juiced Edition, Orange Crush, Diamond White, maybe some other stuff I can't think of.

Trying not to buy any more wax.

For some reason I've gotten obsessed with trying some Auto Finesse wax, specifically Auto Finesse Spirit, which is, for me, on the expensive side. I've got a pile of Dodo Juice, Pete's 53, P21S and probably enough wax to last at least half a life time. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to...

Blitz-Reiniger, what do you use it for?

I got carried away and added Blitz-Reiniger to a recent order and I've yet to find what it's good at. My original thought was that it was an all purpose cleaner and I thought I might use it as a wheel cleaner, that was a non-starter. I used it to launder my microfiber towels and I was very...

2013 VW Passat with X on the hood

Just02896, You are a genius, I just walked outside and popped the hood. There is insulation under the hood, but there is my X embossed into the insulation, so I'm guessing it's a hood brace, just as you suggested. Thank you, mystery solved.

2013 VW Passat with X on the hood

I've got 21,000 miles on the vehicle and I've washed it at least once a week, multiple applications of Prime Lime Lite, not to mention wax applications, with all of that there is still a "Ghost" mark of a box with an X in it on the hood. It appears when then is a dew or a frost. Otherwise it is...

    2014 Black VW Jetta

psdnuts, I'm sorry for the confusion, I have a 2013 gray Passat tdi, the same car as BTLew81, so I was actually asking him what he used on his car. I'm guilty of a bit of a thread high jack, again, I apologize. On a different note, very nice job on the black Jetta. Top shelf work!

    2014 Black VW Jetta

I have the same car, color and all. I'm curious what wax or sealant are you using? I've got several of the Dodo Juice line and most recently put Purple Haze Pro on it. I was a little disappointed, and good lord does it attract and hold pollen. I'm thinking out putting Pete's 53 on it just to see...
