Review: DP “Not Your Father’s” SiO2 Paste Wax

It doesn’t say on the pot that it needs a bare prepped surface, so you could try it. With anything ‘ceramic’ I try to put it on a bare surface or on top of other ceramic (waxes, toppers). But DP doesn’t seem too concerned to require that.

Review: Hybrid Solutions Ceramic 3-in-1 Detailer

You are one of many here with streaky buying habits, no pun intended. As far as streaks, dry ASAP after spraying and see what happens in the morning sun. Most QDs are more watery and might be less streaky, or at least could wipe off the streaks easiest. Do you have any other QDs to use until...

Review: Hybrid Solutions Ceramic 3-in-1 Detailer

As a drying aid, you’re basically asking? Yeah it works good as a drying aid. Probably better than Ceramic Spray Wax at preventing/removing water spots because the difference between the two is that 3-in-1 should have some cleaning ability and way less protection. It sounds like that’s what...

    Review: DP GR4 Graphene Coating

Mike, In your review you mentioned to the owner not to use car washes (even touch-less, I interpret). “How long will it last? I don't know, that's the problem with this type of product review. The car I used this on is gone. I have asked the owner to AVOID taking the car through touchless car...

All new Dodo Juice! (ShineCraft wax review)

The car looks awesome. So silky smooth and definitely the glow you speak of. There were two Dodo Supernatural Hybrids: a regular sealant one which I didn’t like and the ceramic one (Nano) that I love and had great beading. Seems they were referring to the former in their description but...

Turtle Wax Hybrid Flex Graphene vs 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating

You got me excited, was thinking this thread had the comparison.

    Igl ecoshine wax

I’ve tried it. It’s good. Does as advertised and should get you 3 months. Pretty good beading. I compared it versus some other ceramic waxes once and it didn’t last as long but was easy to work with and left a nice feel to the surface. I enjoy the waxing aspect mixed with good...

Ammo Frothe vs CarPro ECH2O on Ceramic Coating

You’re blowing my mind lately, Guz. Carnauba in EcH2O. Silica in Beadmaker. Does Souveran Paste have Graphene in it?!?

    SUV Nation

Things are cyclic and I’m guessing cars/coupes will make a comeback in 10 years before the last hurrah when everything becomes automated and we all sit in a robot like zombies (robots and zombies sounds like it should be way cooler than automated vehicles, right?). So many people bought SUVs...

The new 75th anniversary TW ceramic+graphene...attracting dust?!?!

Why don’t you think it’s road dust? We still have slight road dust from here in PA, it’s been dry and this time of year the leaves from last year and dead sticks are probably breaking down before full fledged spring/pollen takes over which is easy to see that it’s yellow/green tint.

Had some problems when practicing last night

That’s interesting then because if it were heating up a lot you would feel heat at the bottom of the pad. It could just be poor Velcro attachment on the pad the flew off? Or were you going over an area with multiple bends-angles where the pad became dislodged due to the spinning at multiple...

Had some problems when practicing last night

Lol, I like your art, to be honest. But I’m also a huge fan of my 5 year old’s works, so maybe it’s just preference. I personally do prime each brand new pad with my finger like Mike says. But not a lot of polish is needed after that on each additional application. There may be times where more...

Had some problems when practicing last night

For reference: When doing a whole mid-size SUV with TSR and more traditional size pads (5.5”), I use at least 6-8 pads. Then I’ll use 2 or 3 of the 3” pads for the small areas (my SIV has a decent amount of small areas). The number of pads could vary depending on if I’m working long passes for...

What is the point of a ceramic coating if you have to maintain it?

Cancoat and Moonlight should get through an Ohio winter unless they use totally different ice melt in OH than upstate NY or PA (I suppose Budget knows this answer best). I would agree that Cosmic and Overcoat would get a few months max of strong winter/salts in an upstate NY area. But people...

303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating: 1 Coat or 2 ?

I personally like two coats of most LSPs, particularly spray waxes because: 1) they are quick/easy to apply 2) it’s less apparent where you may have missed a spot (particularly if you buff as you move on from each area) compared to a traditional sealant or wax that hazes 3) I sometimes get...

    cleaner for undercarriage

I agree with the above, after using mine today. I did not go look closely at the undercarriage when finished (only the middle of the under side is exposed, the sides are covered for protection but were still nasty and cleaned up well). I had bought the Salt-away and dilution attachment also...
