    Polishing white Mazda paint

Optimum hyper polish. Sample bottle of Wolfgang 3.0 glaze. Have a bottle of 303 finish polish on the way due to the double sale. A few meguiar's white and black thin pads and a few LC force white and orange pads.

    Polishing white Mazda paint

Car in question is a 2015 CX-9. Paint is overall in good shape with some RIDS and chemical spotting on the roof. Perfection is not the goal, just cleaning the paint and minimizing defects. Only looking to use a polish, no compound, to preserve clear coat. Have access to 8mm and 21mm DA...

    Daily Driver Best Protecting Wax

Meguiar's UFF. Very durable and easy to use. Can boost with optimum car wax. Can't imagine using a hazing type wax or sealant anymore.

Trying to decide between Meg's D101 and Optimum Power Clean

No argument from me on price, that's why I said OPC is expensive. D101 cleans fine but the smell and poor rinse-ability makes it a no go for me.

Trying to decide between Meg's D101 and Optimum Power Clean

D101 is nasty stuff and foams like crazy. About the only thing I use it for is to clean the BRS or presoaking micro fiber. OPC is very effective but also spendy . Needs lower dilution ratios.

Tried the Big Red Sponge today...

ONR will drop the solid debris to the bottom of the bucket and actually make it stick there. I believe Uber will do the same. Initial testing of Ultima Acrylic seems to as well. GG rinseless floats the dirt on top so not a good fit. ONR will suspend traffic film in the mix but won't drop it...

Tried the Big Red Sponge today...

I think capillary action helps pull dirt up into the sponge and away from the surface, but that won't happen if the sponge is too full.

Tried the Big Red Sponge today...

Main point is to have a rinseless that will drop the dirt to the bottom of the bucket. Not sure if D114 will do that. I guess you'll find out :)

    Products for detailing

I would highly recommend looking into the optimum line of products. Many multifunctional products that are easy to use and people safe. Fewer products = lower start up costs.

Cleaning MF used w/ Ech2O, Reload, C2V3, etc

I believe in washing MF in water based degreaser because most detergents are not designed to remove cured sealants. Presoak with Oxiclean or some other cleaner before the wash.

Tried the Big Red Sponge today...

Blue and Red sponges are very different. The blue is much more firm with much larger cells. The BRS is softer with very small cells. I'm sure optimum and retailers are doing well with the BRS but there is an obvious quality difference between the two. The BRS is actually softer on the paint...

    Storing rinseless between washes

I've stored ONR for many weeks as I reuse the solution over and over. No issues. Optimum has stated that biological growth can happen if contaminated via washing. Never happened to me. D114 would go bad in a week after using the GD wash method. Not sure as to why but it would always do it...

    Easiest to use Glass Coating

Carpro Reload mixed with Ech2o. This will refresh the “coating “ every time you clean the glass. Basic window prep is all that is needed.

Anyone use this battery powered pressure washer

Consider the HF airless paint sprayer if you don't absolutely need cordless. I use it much more than the sun Joe. You can spray ONR and then rinse with water. It's not as self contained as the sun Joe, but is more versatile. It can be used in a garage with no issues.

Anyone use this battery powered pressure washer

It comes with a foam gun type thing but it's a joke. I tried it once and never again. The unit is pretty good at rinsing and at the lowest setting is excellent for bugs because it won't harm paint. I caught it on a good sale to run distilled water and have less setup than a full PW.

Anyone use this battery powered pressure washer

The fitting on the machine itself is 22mm I believe so standard hoses should fit. The gun that comes with it has a proprietary connection so a new hose would be needed for a different gun. I only have one battery, 5 amp hour as I recall. Can't tell you about pressure differences. I usually use...

    Chemicals on "coated" brake rotors

Ferritic-nitro carburizing is a form of heat treat that greatly increases corrosion resistance. This is not on the metal, it is in the metal. GM has been using this for several years. If your rotors have some sort of paint finish, it is not FNC. If the paint can survive the heat of brakes, I...
