If I had a detailing business, I would post a well laid out ad on Craigslist every week. It is free advertising, it gets the business name out, and if done properly, can generate some business. I don't see a down-side. I shop on Craigslist from time to time for items that I am unable to find...

I believe any exposure, whether on Craigslist, Facebook, blog, or other website is good exposure. As long as it generates traffic/revenue, i believe it can be successful. To call a detailer a hack and unqualified, simply because his ad is poorly designed, may be considered unfair judgement...

Amazon used to charge sales tax, primarily due to pressure from state governments. Amazon lobbied hard in support of a sales tax ban on internet sales. The federal government passed a law banning sales taxes on internet sales in the hopes of stimulating internet commerce. Further down the road...

I purchased mine from the rag company. I paid wholesale pricing for spending over $75 at wholesale. They have great products.

I, too, dropped to the 5" backing plate on my Rupes 21 and use both the Hydro Tech 5.5" pads as well as the Rupes 6" pads. I am not a professional detailer, I simply work on my two cars occasionally. I am a newbie at that, too, so take my recommendations with a grain of salt.

Rupes has their own branded microfiber pads as well. May be worth looking into. The Rupes foam pads are excellent. Seeing as how good their foam pads are, there's no reason not to expect their microfiber pad to be just as good.

I have used the G-Tech G1/G4 product, and application was easy. I have not had to drive the car in the rain yet, so I can't speak to its performance. YouTube videos show incredible rain repelling abilities.

For the first time in over 30 years, my sisters and I have an opportunity to celebrate Christmas together. Some of us fly free, but work, as it does often, seems to get in the way. This year, we are all traveling to London to be together to celebrate Christmas.
