Did you by any chance run your PC while it was not in contact with anything? If you spin pads in mid-air this can happen very quickly. If not then that sucks. Sorry man. :(

Just a tip for when you're claying. You can test the paint for contaminants by feeling the paint through a ziplock bag. This will make the contaminants more apparent and will feel like you're dragging your hand across sandpaper. If it feels smooth then there's no contaminants.

Is there any way you could have a friend make a video of your polishing technique? Maybe we can give you some pointers if we are able to see exactly what you're doing.

Nice Mustang! I almost got a grabber blue as well but ended up getting a black 2012 V6 because I love how it looks when it's all clean and waxed. Done any mods to it yet?

You will want to use a sealant product specifically for wheels or exhaust tips to seal your tips. Most normal paint sealants cannot withstand high temperatures. The sealant I like to use for my wheels and exhaust is Poorboy's Wheel Sealant. Makes cleaning exhaust tips a breeze. The soot just...

I would recommend using Klean-Strip Prep-All. Really good stuff at prepping paint and trim for your LSP. Ultima Tire & Trim Guard is the best stuff hands down for restoring your trim. Lasts quite long!
