Ceramic coatings on chrome, Yay or nay?

The heads don’t really get that hot unless you get stuck in heavy traffic. Some exhaust get very hot. A lot of people (including myself) use pipes that are ceramic coated covered with chrome heat shields. They stay a few hundred degrees cooler. Bare chrome pipes are extremely hot coming out of...

Ceramic coatings on chrome, Yay or nay?

I have 3 bikes and have not used a really good ceramic coating on the chrome. Once I did use BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal. It looked good but I don’t think it lasted long on the engine and pipes. Now I use Polish Angel Supersport for wheels on all the chrome, it can take the heat. I know this doesn’t...

Initial Impressions of Mille vs Flex 3401

After 35 years of using a rotary the Flex 3401 is far from feeling like a beast. I definitely enjoy the 3401.

Where does everybody stand on priming their pads?

I put a little product on foam pads. Don't like the idea of a completely dry foam pad.

Disappointed for Such a Expensive Product

I buy and try a lot of expensive products. I have been disappointed in far more than I have liked. That is part of the experiment and I will use the ones I don't like on something. I have learned 1 lesson. I pick my products to try that are recommended from senior people on the forum and not...

Polishing over decals? Can u do it?

If the decals have some shine to them you should be fine. My Jeep has a big semi gloss decal on the hood and it turned out good. I did not stay on it long and was careful with the edges. I polished it mainly because I was coating the whole car. The decal took the coating well also.

Looking for a High Gloss Tire Shine that doesn't sling.

I put on 1 heavy coat of Opti-bond with a spray gun and when it dries it has more gloss than anything I've ever used. I have to tone it down with a dry foam applicator. I've tried a lighter coat but but it takes a lot of smoothing out to get coverage on off road tires.

    Losing the willpower

I have been so frustrated lately because of all the rain we are having. Can't keep a clean car and a waste of time trying to. Time to get the motorcycles ready to ride and then I get a phone call from the doctors office. My EKG showed I have had a recent heart attack. Time to put everything on...
