I noticed a chip on my front bumper (repainted 2 years ago) that had a bubble next to it. Should I be concerned about this spreading? Any tips on preventing if so?

    New Car Paint Defects

Thanks fellas. Goal is to just get them less noticeable. Not many of of them, but enough to annoy my ocd self.

    New Car Paint Defects

Yeah it’s been quite the mess. It was just front bumper and fender damage. They first tried to salvage the bumper and delivered it with a cracked bumper and cracked headlight. Then excessive orange peel. Then headlight that was not hooked up. LOL. It got exhausting after a while. Just my daily...

    New Car Paint Defects

The paint actually pops out. It looks like clearcoat blob. Can this be wet sanded or just needs to be completely redone?

    New Car Paint Defects

Haha! My faith in this body shop is not very high. I’ve already brought it back like 4 times. Just hoping it won’t lift up and crack.

    New Car Paint Defects

I had my front end repainted a couple months ago and recently noticed some bumps and divots like these. Are these anything to be concerned about (aesthetics aside)? Can these be corrected?

    Rust in Rock chips

Thanks! I've also seen some mentions of applying rust converter with a toothpick. Think the sanding is better option?

    Rust in Rock chips

Hi all, I occasionally touch up rock chips with Dr. Colorchip. I noticed that I had a couple of these chips that looks like there's a bit of rust. Are you supposed to treat these somehow before touch up? Pics are here:

    Scuffs under bumper- lease

Thanks guys. It's tough to see but the top part of it is white scratch line. Might try to work with that one a bit with some touch up paint just to fill and make less obvious when looking down there. The lower part is grey/black so I'm not gonna bother with that stuff.

    Scuffs under bumper- lease

Lol okay thanks that makes me feel better. This is only like 7 months in out of 3 years, so its probably going to get worse than this. This only happened from going down a driveway that had a bump at the end.

    Scuffs under bumper- lease

Hi all, So I recently noticed on my wife's accord (lease...I know. Never again lol) that there's some pretty large scrapes. Nothing you'd notice until you later down under car. Here's the worst one. Two questions. 1. Would you recommend wet sanding to clean it up? I'm really just trying to...

    Tips on waxing/washing

Thanks for the wax suggestions! The Ultimate Liquid Wax looks like a good option. I'm going to give it a shot. Our color is a pain keep clean, but when it's clean it's freaking beautiful!

    Tips on waxing/washing

It's a 2014 Mazda6 and Mazdas are generally known for soft paint so i try to be careful. On the hood I applied it really thick, which was obviously a dumb move. But I'm an amature with waxing :/.

    Tips on waxing/washing

What the heck..I think you're right. And the reason why I felt them is because I didn't put enough pressure into waxing it in order for the abrasives to do their job. But I thought it was grit so that's why I didn't lol. But I'm going to try something new next time. Any recommendations for...

    Tips on waxing/washing

It's actually a lot warmer in my garage (around 55 degrees) and that's where I did it. It seems to remove some of the grit when you smear with your finger. After the wash it felt smooth. This happened the last time I waxed it too. Can't figure it out and now i'm worried that it's scratching the...

    Tips on waxing/washing

I recently ran my car through a touchless wash (it's very cold here) followed by using Optimum Rinseless wash. I then used Meguiars quick detailer and then attempted to wax. Before waxing I ran my fingers across and the surface was smooth. I then wax and notice that it's leaving a gritty...

    Birdpoop on bumper

Thanks, I've tried it with medium pressure. It definetly improved the etching. I'll try going back over it with some more pressure. I worked on it last night and shined an led light on it. It actually looked like it was gone until the sun shined on it this morning. Bird poop always etches...
