I work at a Mercedes dealership and went to the launch training of the new C-Class and GLA in Columbus, Ohio. There were BMWs there at the event, BMW X1 and 328i...they couldn't handle a candle to our models, huge difference in fit, finish and materials!

I have been kicking around the idea of getting one too, but I just don't use them enough to stomach the purchase...although I have done some cars where I really wished I had one!

The bad thing about dealership work is 95% of them don't want to pay for what it actually takes to do the job...if YOU can come to terms with that, and give only the work they're paying for and THEY are willing to except your level of work for what they want to pay, then you may do well!

What are using for UV protection

I don't see what people are talking about, this wax gives a warmer lookk to lighter paints...polishing is what makes the paint look good or bad, the wax just protects.

Have you actually used Opti-lens? Whats the longevity of it? I contacted Optimum and they clain life-time, but I expected them to say that. I want actual users to tell me their experiences.

Anyone try the Duplicolor headlamp kit yet? I won't use the polish, but I am interested in the spray UV coating.

You could also use a rubber cap used for vaccum port blocking off. They can be had at any auto parts store.
