I use a similar version but with ZOTE instead of ivory. Imuse the powder version and it is dissolved in water before using. Towels come out clean with no additives that will hurt the towel or paint. A lot cheaper per load. Ed

The best way to remove the wax is to use APC full strength with a brush. Spray the APC and agitate. Repeat until gone. Taping off the trim next time will alleviate the problem.
