Help with Wolfgang products and application order

So I'm working on a 2011 black Audi (pain in the ass I know) I'm compounding with Uber Compound on a MF cutting pad as the orange CCS pad wasn't getting it done. My question is, do I follow it with total swirl remover on a white CCS pad to polish, or should I go to the Wolfgang Glaze? I am...

NanoSkin Wash Mitt and Foam Cannon

So now that it is springish time, the cars I'm working on are relatively clean. I have a foam cannon that I let the foam work for 3-4 minutes to break everything down. After it's sat for awhile, I wash the car with the NanoSkin Mitt. I know most people will use a QD spray for lube, and was...

My first detail customer, and I'm pretty sure I undercharged

The next car I do, I'm going to keep a log of how long each step took me and look for inefficiencies. While I know I have some opportunities for improvement, I don't see myself being able to get down the 3 hour range for that level of work. Other than a few quick water breaks, I really didn't...

My first detail customer, and I'm pretty sure I undercharged

Thank you all for your responses! They are greatly appreciated, and I know I've learned a lot from them! One thing I didn't include was I did apply compound/polish/Aio with a PC. Not by hand. No way.

My first detail customer, and I'm pretty sure I undercharged

That's why I told myself after I got home. I probably wouldn't have done much else today except watch tv and poke around online. I got some experience out of it, $100, and hopefully a referral or two. Just hope he doesn't tell them what he paid!

My first detail customer, and I'm pretty sure I undercharged

So after catching the detailing bug after realizing the lack of quality detailers here in town, I had a guy in my office ask me what I would charge to do his Lincoln MKX. I told him I wasn't sure (first mistake), as I didn't know how long exactly it would take me, and what condition the vehicle...

Paint Correction - So Frustrated Please Help

I use three pads for the car. 1) Hood/Bumper/Fender/Driver Door. 2) Rear driver door, half roof, rear fender, trunk, bumper. 3) Passenger side rear fender, both doors, and other half of the roof. Each new pad I make sure to give it a quick sprits with QD, then prime the pad with above average...

Paint Correction - So Frustrated Please Help

So you think that stepping up the compound instead of to a MF cutting pad would provide better results? I never knew which step to take first when needing to get more aggressive. The pad or the compound. I do need to place an order for some new items, and was looking at the Uber Compound, or...

Paint Correction - So Frustrated Please Help

This was something I've been thinking about. I know there is such a thing as too much pressure if the pad isn't spinning, but as long as the pad is spinning I can apply more pressure? I'm not worried about damaging the clear, from everything I've read it can't be done with a PC. I just...

Not quite getting the results I want. Help?

You might actually be leaving behind micro-marring from the MF pad. How often are you cleaning it? How is your pressure? What speed do you have your PC going at? There are a lot of variables that could be the reason why you are still seeing blemishes. Pictures would help. A camera phone...

    FLEX Swirl Finder Light Giveaway!

This is my favorite German car bar none. Ever since I first saw the Frozen series, I fell in love. I don't currently have any type of light source other than my terrible garage lights, and would love to have some type of additional source of light to find those swirls. My girlfriends thinks...

Paint Correction - So Frustrated Please Help

Using a scale, I got pretty good at applying ~10Lbs of pressure. I've already marked the pad at 12,3,6,9 per Mike Phillips instructions and the pad is definitely rotating. I'm working at speeds between 5-6 on a PC 7424XP

Paint Correction - So Frustrated Please Help

I'm about ready to give up. I can't figure this out. I've got an 05 Tsx in premium white pearl and I'm trying to correct the paint. So starting on my test spot ( passenger rear pabel) PC white pad and WG swirl remover. Nothing. Then meguiars UC on orange pad. Eh a little bit. I'm working in...

I think this needs to be clayed

I have some meguiars Ultimate Compound as well. I just had the WG sitting around so I wanted to give it a try. I knew that the UC is more aggressive than the WG and wanted to try the least aggressive method first. I think before I go any further though, I'm going to get IronX and NanoSkin...

I think this needs to be clayed

http://i.imgur.com/bbV8uXc.jpg That's a 50/50 after PC with pass with orange pad and WG Swirl remover. I previously did a pass with White pad and swirl remover but there was still some water marks in the paint.
