BMW Experts! - Is this a rare BMW?

How rare is a BMW 635CSi? BMW M Registry - FAQ E24 M635CSi + M6 These may help. Skimmed through them. Consensus seems to be that they are relatively rare, depending on options/condition. This is also an M 635csi, so it really is a different animal, definitely more rare than the regular 6...

Best Extractor in the 200-250 price range?

Check for used extractors on Craigslist/ebay, or save for a new one. I had an LGM that actually lasted 2 or 3 years, but the suction was not good at all, no heat, and the interiors would be very wet after finishing. I purchased a used Mytee lite ii for about $200. I tested it out, knowing the...

    Foam Cannon: Over it

Looked online, and couldn't find it. Thought maybe Gilmour would supply it. Good idea! That's probably my next best bet. BTW sorry, OP for hijacking this thread! Best of luck to you with the foam cannon!

    Foam Cannon: Over it

A closer look at the Gilmour Foam Gun.... Link is for pictures only. I do not have the screw in the top in picture 5 (ratio setting pic) I had it installed on the side, but just put it on the top, leaving the side empty. My mistake...thought I had a screw on each side, but the ratio bar doesn't...

    Foam Cannon: Over it

Maybe I lost the screw from the top, then. I have a screw on the end of the brass pin, and I think a screw on the other end opposite the pin. I'll try and get pics up sometime. Should the screw opposite the pin be on top in the center instead?

    Foam Cannon: Over it

Oh, okay. That's definitely in, but if the gun with the mesh attachment on the end is like mine, there is a metal piece (where the adjustment bar slides in/out of) in the center of the top with a hole on it. When I use the gun I have to put my finger covering that top hole, making spraying a two...

Interior Cleaner Question - Black Dash white in texture after cleaning

+1 ... could have been that there is old dressing built up that the cleaner adhered to. I had a similar issue when using Meg's APC + on rubber floor mats/rubber weather stripping...and also on my previous '97 accord's window switch panel of rather smooth grey plastic...it turned completely...

    Foam Cannon: Over it

What does the suction draught tube look like? I have a gilmor (gilmore?) foam gun and it doesn't seem to produce any foam unless I place my finger covering the hole at the top that seems to suck in air. Even then, sometimes the foam isn't that great. Could a suction tube thing be my issue? I...

For a gallon of gas....that's ridiculous!!!

What is the cost of NOT switching to electric cars, though? That is by far the much more important question. Maybe not in the next year, or decade, but in the next century? Absolutely, unequivocally, more important. To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, death and taxes are inevitable. What is...

Best window cleaner on the market???

Steam! and if not steam, Stoner Invisible glass aerosol. Technique is very important with glass. When I clean glass I have a rotating supply of rags at the ready. I spray the cleaner/stem onto the windows, starting with the window's leading edge. then i dry the edge with next rag. CLose the...

    Steamer: New or used?

Like you, I detail part-time. I used to detail more for customers, but due to my university studies, I simply don't have the time anymore. In any case, last year I was in the same boat as you. I couldn't spend more than $400 on my steamer and/or extractor (I was toying between just good...

If you like incandescent bulbs, better stock up

BTW Klasse Act: 1) I respect you and have seen you posting around the forums a lot. You have a lot of insight and car detailing expertise. 2) The below comment was not meant to be an attack on you, your views or anything of that nature at all. I merely used your mention of minimum wage as a...

If you like incandescent bulbs, better stock up

Aside from lightbulbs, IMO the mimimum wage should be raised. To what? I'm not exactly sure. But NY's current (and already increased) rate of $8 is hardly sufficient. Perhaps $15 is a bit high in the aggregate, but then again, on an individual basis $15 an hour is petty cash. Are there other...

    Budget Steamer

On a sidenote: 1) even with low steam output, it is useful for door, trunk and engine jambs, 2) The MC can sort of be used as a replacement for an air compressor for blowing out crumbs (provided they're not sticky/melty in which case the steamer would melt them into your/owner's carpeting)...

Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

Johnny T's NYC Tourist Tips: Get Outta The Way, You're A Jerk ^ 1) Slow drivers and those who brake w/o reason (aka many old people, some teens, and anyone else who fits the bill) (See 1:22 "there's two speeds in NY...move fast, or get outta the way" :P) 2) Contrary to #1, those who drive...

What is the best smelling auto detail product that you have used?

+1 on the zymol cleaner wax. I think that has a banana smell. It's really amazing...probably my favorite smelling product. Funny, I don't like the ez creme much...but I dislike grape flavored/smelling things. I also like meguiars gold class wash soap a lot. Can't put my finger on the scent of...
