DIY painting a car? (w/ intro lol)

Well, as it turns out, I won't be needing to paint the car after all b/c I'm not purchasing it.... it needed new bearings, an a/c compressor, struts, ball joints, brake pads and rotors, and to top it all off, it had an undiagnosed oil leak and was eating oil like a fiend lol.

DIY painting a car? (w/ intro lol)

Hey all you autogeeks out there. I'd like to start by mentioning that I recently totaled my beloved 1997 honda accord...she was so good to me... and only had 98000 miles too! Of course I kept her in impeccable condition, aside from the fact that she had window alignment problems and no a/c that...

    Noobe with new truck

Actually, I remember having this conversation with mike when a family member got a new car...I wanted to know whether to wax it or not and mike said that w/ modern clears, you really don't have to wait for the paint to cure. I've never used OC 2.0 but perhaps people like to use a glaze/wax over...

What to watch out for buying a used extractor...Please comment, thank you :)

Update on the update: I've been able to get the pump working by priming it w/ a male QD and vac, blowing out the wand nozzle, using mytee system maintainer etc...I thought that after doing all that the water stream coming out would be more potent...it works but is weaker than I expected. Guess I...

Why is Opti-Seal not more popular?

I love opti-seal! Got some thru the samples thread last year and have used it a couple of times. It's so easy to use! Maybe it doesn't provide the best shine, but the protection is amazing.

What to watch out for buying a used extractor...Please comment, thank you :)

okay, update: just purchased the unit. I think it needs a new pump, or at least repairs done...and maybe a new heater (wasn't really able to test out the heating element in depth)... not sure. But I think I got a decent price for it, so hopefully the repairs won't be more than $250. If they are...
