Well, as it turns out, I won't be needing to paint the car after all b/c I'm not purchasing it.... it needed new bearings, an a/c compressor, struts, ball joints, brake pads and rotors, and to top it all off, it had an undiagnosed oil leak and was eating oil like a fiend lol.

I love opti-seal! Got some thru the samples thread last year and have used it a couple of times. It's so easy to use! Maybe it doesn't provide the best shine, but the protection is amazing.

okay, update: just purchased the unit. I think it needs a new pump, or at least repairs done...and maybe a new heater (wasn't really able to test out the heating element in depth)... not sure. But I think I got a decent price for it, so hopefully the repairs won't be more than $250. If they are...
