    "Reputation Management" - Chem Guys

Isn't it obvious? I happen to rate Jetseal pretty highly. Nevertheless, its fairly obvious the CG people do this. Use your noggin and you can separate the wheat from the chaff. Look at what else the person has rated. Did they rate a lot of obscure stuff that no one cares about? That's a...

    Chemical guys

I've actually had good luck with their stuff, but then I'm pretty careful to research before ordering. I don't have any illusions that they have armies of guys in lab coats formulating "nano" this and "nano" that. Yeah, their snake-oil advertising bothers some people, but I get a kick out of...

Portercable: if the pad isn't rotating am I pressing too hard?

Wait a minute. Suppose you are using a liquid sealer. That sinks into a pad. Isn't it legitimate to momentarily press down on the pad to bring a little juice up and keep going?

    Using glaze and sealant together

Noob here. Is it appropriate to use glaze and sealant together? Do you automatically degrade the durability of the sealant when you use glaze? Do you apply the glaze first, under the sealant? Would I see a benefit to using glaze if my car's finish (white) is already in good condition...

Which wash method is the "best"?

I think so. I like the method so much I actually go to the do it yourself carwash and knock some of the dirt off with plain water just so I can do the rinseless method rather than do a conventional wash. When I saw the method on the Youtube about not reintroducing dirty stuff into your soap...

Wax Sugestions For White and Silver Paint

Heard a rumor that they were the same with the 845 merely having more solvent in it. If you use a dual action polisher, I think a paste wax is a little easier to use--the stuff sits on top of your pad instead of sinking in. Think the 476 does well with my white, but then so did the Jetseal.

How To: Wash Your Car with 2 Gallons of Water – Pinnacle Style

Big fan of rinseless washes. Now washing the car is something I do at night or during inclement weather (in the garage, of course). Instead of a once a month deal, its more like once a week. It doesn't seem to bother the sealant underneath, and it takes an hour including the spray wax over...

    Do microfiber towels really matter?

I second. That big bag of borderless towels I bought at Sam's has done just fine. Do they last forever? No. But its nice to have a big stash of towels that I switch out for another at the drop of a hat. If, and that's a big if, there is any benefit to using an expensive towel, its...

    The most over-rated products?

For an "overrated" product it certainly gets trashed on a regular basis. (Undeservedly in my opinion, but that's a different thread).
