    Polish for rookies??

I take it you're a big fan of the tornador? Kinda makes me want to get one and dig out my compressor.

Do I have a good product?

Well depending on the damage you should be good with the products you have. Ordinarilly I would say start with a white pad and lightly abrasive polish. Your car being a jet black bmw iit could be silly soft or horrendously hard. You would be surprised how much technique trumps product selection...

    Polish for rookies??

Well imo all polishes are easy to use provided you know how to polish, then read and follow directions. If I were to help pick out a line for someone to start using I would say xmt as its "easy" to use and produces serious correction results.

Gray, blue, or red pad for final wax?

The red is supposedly identical to blue in terms of mechanical action and softness. Using a pc I would recommend using grey to finish. Also I wouldn't recommend using #7 via any machine as its designed to be spread by hand and quickly removed.

5 exterior shampoos - my observations

Nice review Gewb, good work my friend. I would also recommend looking into z7 as its one of my favorites of all time. Pinnacle is such a nice shampoo its tough to beat. Another some of you might want to look into is tol's bubble bath, after years I still find myself ordering a gallon to make...

    Waxing the interior: which wax?

I agree with ocw. I was thinking of many spray lsps for this gentleman. With ease of use, lack of mess, and durability in mind I would take it a step further and suggest picking up a bottle of optiseal or clearseal as well. You can always top it with liquid souveran if you want, but you might as...

    Is Leatherique overkill?

Agree 100%. Coated leathers aren't going to benefit from leatherique the way non coated leather will even in poor condition. Not saying it won't clean up the situation here, but from the sounds of it, pick one of many leather clean/condition duo's out there. Any leather kit found on AG would...

    Bella Macchina 07 Maserati w/ P21s 100 %

We didn't use Zaiono to protect this paint, but it would have been fine if we did. Zaino is a great looking durable line of sealants that would work well on any paint type or non porous surface. Harleyguy, I know your questions are for Todd, but ill answer for him he uses a nikon d40 with a...

Presidential Detailed: 2007 Honda Civic SI

Great work! Keep it up. I agree with you, I like uf better as well. IME pretty much every polish has the ability to decieve, it really boils down to how they are used in most cases. I like UF better than RD because RD will grab on certain paints and even howl occassionally. UF is always super...

Thanks for the kind words gentleman. David, Yeah it was tore up from the floor up, but I like the way you said it better. I was just glad to see what it looked like in black. As for the remaining crevices I might work the out on future maintenance but they definitely aren't the concern on...

You hit the nail on the head, I was glad the picture came out the way it did, it's a good example of how shady some can be when selling a car or even other avenues of photo deception. I have a good handful of afters that are still uploading, I thought they would be done by now but my com is...

    Lake Country Wash Sponge

I know they got them in, but did they have them at the time I posted this? And it's not much of a review, but definitely worth some attention as it's a good sponge.
