    Using razor blade on glass?

I think it is pretty safe as long as the blade is not bent. We use them on glass regularly and have had no problems that I know of. Note: mirrors are not glass, they are plastic and would be damaged. P.S. CLEAR specs makes me suspect little chips? Good luck, Nathan

    Not getting customers

Lots of variables, too many to discuss them all. Try to look at your business from a customers perspective, or ask a person from outside detailing to look at your business. Is the facility neat and professional. Do you have professional signage yet? Would a classy middle-aged lady be able to...

Clean carpet will spills on it without extractor??? A little desperate for help

Re: Clean carpet will spills on it without extractor??? An extractor would be best, but many of our peers succeed without them every day. Shop vac and brush as much out as possible before introducing cleaner. Rinse and vac when done, then crank the heater. Adding an additional fan can cut the...

    Hot water extractor recommendations

Sorry, I don't have a brand recommendation. I will give my opinion on the matter if that's ok. I think extractors are the best tool sometimes. Our process is as follows: 1 very thorough vacuuming 2 light spray of carpet upholstery prespray 3 agitate 4 rinse with extractor using water only or...

Meguiar's D-151, how to use? Tips & tricks?

Sometimes you may see DA haze on dark colors if its not broken down enough. If you are on black paint, try a sunlight inspection after your test spot. We love it, we use about 1.5 gallons per month. Good luck, Nathan.

    Meg's 101 and 151 combo

I like it. I'd say give it a try, if you don't like it you won't be out much money. Inspect test spots closely on black for DA haze. We work indoors, so we leave it on the car until its finished and then wipe the whole car. another time saver. I don't think it will finish as well as 205, but...

    Meg's 101 and 151 combo

Cheats the clock a little bit so I love it. Do a test spot on dark colors to make sure you are getting the holograms out and that the abrasives are breaking down enough to get a good finish.

    Cleaning dog hairs!

Many of the pumice stones have an aggressive and a light side. Use the aggressive on the carpet, light on fabric and the rubber brush in the corners. Vacuum at the same time, doing small sections at a time in the same direction. Vacuum the line you create and the stone constantly. There may be...

    Best one-step for production detailing

PRC is a good choice. Use a rotary on the white and silver cars. $100 is too cheap for a good 1 step, let alone an LSP also. Nathan

    Leather care question.

I haven't tried it with steam, but I would expect it to be great. We spray a thin layer on lower portions first, agitate with brush or scrubbies and then wipe off with towels. It is important to start low and have even coverage to avoid streaking. Some heavily soiled seats may require 3 or more...

    Leather care question.

We have tried many products and have landed on Meguiars cleaner from the Detailer line. It seems to clean better than APC and it is designed for protected leather. In our shop, we do mostly daily drivers, so protected leather is the norm. We do apply a leather conditioner afterwards and let it...

    Meg's D151 on top of D300?

If your fairly new, D300 and D301 are an excellent choice. Simple, affordable and you will get excellent results. If your paint is not particularly soft, and you experience no DA haze, you might go straight to sealant after Correction. If you have a few bucks leftover, D151 (aka PRC Paint...
