How to remove encrusted tree sap.

We have tried many things and always go back to 91% ipa. Using a fresh plastic razor blade to lift the edges and allow penetration wil speed the process. If its encrusted, there will probably be damage underneath.

    Tacoma Exhaust Stain Problem

The new models come with a little patch of clear bra over that area. I thought that was interesting.

Used D156 as a drying aid for the first time today...

Has anybody else heard that they are discontinuing it?

    Using a Glaze

For what it's worth, I've had my PBL Surface coating on for over 6 months and waxes and sealants don't stick to it very easy yet. ( I try a spot now and then for fun).

    Best pneumatic mini buffers?

We recently got the Rupes. WOW. Love it. I went through 2nd day. Use with caution and thickness gauge if you have one. Nathan

    Orange peel Wet sanding

It is fun to dream. I always feel very uncomfortable when people are sanding newer factory paint. Especially without a gauge. We have gone through many times just removing defects. For myself, I accept the orange peel. If I get something I love with thick paint, that will be another story...

How Long Does it Take You to Detail a Vehicle?

4-12 hours are common numbers for us on full details. We do however get some pretty bad vehicles. We do mostly 1 step polishes with spot correction. Nathan

    affordable paint meter.

Sorry, no opinion yet. Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents that we use one from time to time and are very glad to have it.

    stubborn water spots

I agree with frankprozzoly. I like Meguiars 21 synthetic sealant, but I have tried only a few. Maybe detail 3 or 4 times a year if spotting is bad. Oh, and to answer your question, none are water spot proof that I know of.

    Leather cleaning

Our testing showed that Meg's leather cleaner cleaned better than APC. I don't know how important it is, but I feel better knowing I'm using what is recommended. Nathan. Darn it, now I have to research the PH factor.

    Flex 3401 and D151

Try a light mist of water on the section when it gets dry. With a little practice, you won't even need to stop polishing. I like a smaller light weight bottle. Nathan

    D151 help

Finish the whole car. It's easier to see where you've done, it's more efficient, and it's believed that you get better protection. Nathan

    Meguiars PRC. Nathan

    repaint paint question

It can, but I would do a test spot with mild clay first. It may be problem solved at that point. Then a good sealant to protect it. Nathan

    Detailed car and rock chips

I recommend Dr Colorchip road rash kit. About $75 with shipping. If you are mechanically inclined, that is. You will have product left over, so you can fix new chips as they come. Nathan

Anyone run into xzilon coated cars?

Yes it will remove it. Then if the customer has environmental damage, he may blame you.
