Why do you alternate the quick detailer and spray wax?

I hear ya on more for the money. I've never actually used the Ultimate spray wax, but I used Ultimate QD, which beaded water like crazy. I used to use that stuff to top 3M. I've got a bit of my gallon of D156 left over, but I'll definitely get some more, lol.

Man, I'd die if some service dept. detail team washed my car. I'd go postal.

That's good to hear. I could tell the paint was slicker today. Might give it a light wash tomorrow after work along with either another round of UW or just the D156.

Oh. Well, thanks to the clear-cut directions on the bottle (sarcasm... there are none), I guess I didn't allow the sealant to cure properly.

I may even throw another coat on tomorrow. I always feel better when the paint has 2 full coats of sealant, lol. Once I used the D156 over the ULW, it became slicker.

Yep, that's the paste version of Ultimate Wax. I may pick up the liquid tomorrow, but the paste would be fun to try, as I've never really used paste wax other than Mother's cleaner wax, lol. Also, say if I wash my car with Dawn to strip the wax, then dry with D156 to avoid drying swirl...
