VX5000 - quick review, more to come

I seriously need a steamer in my life. If I could stop spending a couple hundered bucks a month at AG then I could probably afford one. That Griots Garage one seems very interesting.

    Flex 3401 Running Hot?

Bobby, I didn't mean so hot that I would get burned but still hot enough that I wouldn't want to put my hand on it for more than a second or two or else it hurts. On second thought I don't think it would literally burn me but I could be wrong. I didn't try it long enough to find out lol

    Flex 3401 Running Hot?

Thanks for the help everyone! I think it would be normal considering the amount of time the machine ran for along with a decent amount of pressure I was using. The pad was pretty warm itself but I didn't imagine a piece could get that hot. My PC never had anything like this happen. But I am very...

    Flex 3401 Running Hot?

I just bought my flex a couple weeks ago and I've done about 10 different cars with it. I just recently noticed with the last suv I did that the round metal part of the 3401 that's located next to backing plate was extremely hot. The performance of the flex was no different but I couldn't even...

    Now Accepting Credit Cards!

Since credit cards are becoming the most popular way to pay for things I've decided to start accepting them. I was very hesitant at first since I didn't want to hassle with a difficult machine. I recently heard about the Square credit card reader that is a little device about 1.25"x1.25"x.25"...

    Other uses for DA

I used my PC to polish my glass top stove with amazing results. I used an orange pad with some stove cleaning polish/cleaner(meant to be used by hand) from Walmart and it took off the burnt residue no problem. Im thinking a glass restorer or compound should work about the same.

    Adjusting 3401 Handle?

So I recently just got to use my Flex for the first time last night. It takes a little to get used to but overall is MUCH nicer and smoother than my pc. The only thing I didnt like is the stock placement of the handle. I dont like having to reach over the buffer pad to hold it. The handle looks...

    Autozone Stepping Up?

Yeah I could imagine in your area products like this aren't hard to come by at popular auto stores but around here its just unheard of. Its good if I ever need some emergency products but I'll stay faithful to AG as long as they keep up the good work.

    Autozone Stepping Up?

So I just went to autozone and was very surprised to see the new products they are offering. Of all the stuff that was new this is what I was most surprised about. They had some of Meg's mirror glaze line in gallons and other sizes. They even had some brand of da that I've never heard of and it...

No BS Is The Flex 3401 Really Worth It?

Yeah me either. I'm really hoping the Flex can help bring out the full potential of my Menzerna products(loooove the 85rd btw). I'll be sure to write a little review/comparison with the PC later on when I get a good specimen for testing:) Yeah that sounds like a good idea with the 3.5 bp. I...

No BS Is The Flex 3401 Really Worth It?

Well I just ordered the Flex at lunch and should have it by Friday:) All in all I think this was a wise purchase for me and my business. And yeah I may keep the PC just for backup or to switch between polishing steps on the fly. Thanks again for the help everyone!

No BS Is The Flex 3401 Really Worth It?

Thanks for the tip but I wont be doing any sanding with a da for a long time. If I do any sanding at all I would probably just use my drill or hand.

No BS Is The Flex 3401 Really Worth It?

Thanks again to everyone for the great feedback! You have sold me lol. I'll be calling tomorrow to make my purchase. I'm gonna sell my old PC to help pay a lil towards this Flex. I'm so freaking excited to try this out on some swirled out black paint. I really think the PC was holding back the...
