RSurfer: Isn't it weird how that is? Tried everyway possible to make the Wolfgang Tire Gel not sling but to no avail. Wonder if the type tire makes a difference with extra or no side ribbing? Guess its a good thing AG offers different types of tire gels :xyxthumbs:

DG 521--the marine version of 921. Better cleaner than the 921 IMHO. Excellent cleaner leaving a glossy, slick paint. I mix with 20% AW. Awesome to use on wheels and glass too.

Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel is a good one. Goes on easy. Leave for about 15-30 minutes buff off. No sling. Nice semi-gloss appearance. Kinda pricey but worth it. Also use Armor All Extreme Gel. Nice in a pinch, the bottle lasts forever, but appearance doesn't appear to last as long.

I haven't had problems with the Costco mf either. But will say they don't hold up as long as the premium ones as well. I just rotate them to tires/wheels much quicker--but at that cost who cares? Like some others have said, you shouldn't "scrub" your paint with an mf. Just lightly glide over...

Won't hurt it either way but might alter the appearance. Just don't put the sealants over the carnuba as it won't adhere.

dpgs= a warmer, carnuba like glow. upgs=glossier sealant look. dpgs= a slicker surface and is less finicky for first time users upgs= a learning curve. but once learned, takes much less time to apply since there's no removal. but i usually follow up with a light qd wipe after the 12 hr cure...

Not a big fan of the Wheel Glaze. Found it tough to remove and DG 501 works much better as a great cleaner/sealant. Nothing will repel brake dust. Trust me as a German car owner. However, various sealants (even AW) will make it much easier to wipe off.

DG 521 is excellent. Great cleaning ability.

when doing a final wipedown after a sealant or wax has cured, i'll spray directly onto the mf towel. helps to not over-apply the qd and still provides the slickness of the towel to glide over the paint. its been a good technique for me after applying a lsp like liquid souveran to minimize dust...

Actually, 12 hours isn't so bad. I'll apply a 12 hour cure sealant like Wolfgang 3.0 or UPGP around 5 or 6p when I know the ride is staying in the garage overnight. Consider it cured by early morning. Good to go.

I personally found the ONR to be a better overall cleaner than the DP. It's like I felt I needed to add more DP to a gallon of water than ONR to achieve the same result (had the impression the DP was thinner in consistency) and ONR worked better on wheels. DP does smell better though, but I'll...
