How "Do You" beat the heat?

Lots and lots of Gatorade/water. Unless as mentioned you have access to a garage with AC. I also wear the UA heat gear. Keeps me cool. And I make sure I wear a hat if I'm in direct sunlight (rare) - I also take breaks. Usually 5 minutes for every 60 minutes of work.

    Swirls marks - beginners question

My bride and I are actually in business together and we do the majority of wrenching on our cars too (she's a certified mechanic) blue collar all the way!! We are just so appreciative of your work ethic and the example you set. The way you explain things in your vids it's like you're talking to...

Has anyone used paint correction towels instead of clay?

I use a ton of detail spray and it works just fine- lubricity is the key in preventing marring. You will need more spray with the medium grade mitt..... Or use it during the wash process and save even more time. I use CG soaps and they have plenty of lubrication.

Has anyone used paint correction towels instead of clay?

I use the medium and light grade NanoSkin wash mitts in lieu of clay. Works great- much faster than clay IMO.

    Swirls marks - beginners question

If there were a God of Detailing, Mike would be him. Between him and Larry Kosilla, not only has my passion for detailing been reignited, I've learned a ton along he way. If you watch their vids and mimic their technique and example you will have no problem fixing your paint.

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

LOL.... that's a good one. On the real though. The Gloss really does it's best on maintenance washes on a sealed/waxed car. As far as the citrus I am with you- I usually have to triple or quadruple the amt to really get the wax broken down. When I get back stateside in December, I plan to...

How do you get the roof when you're short?

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

IIRC the Gloss is supposed to be used for cars where you don't want to strip the wax and want to "enhance the shine" - where are the citrus is more for where you want to break the existing wax down. .....or so Greg says in his infommercial about his soaps.

How do you get the roof when you're short?

I'm only 65 inches myself. I have a step stool I use for those hard to reach places. Worst case scenario I will put a terry cloth towel on the bottom of the door jam and stand on it to reach the middle of the roof. Or stand on the tire... it's not perfect but sometimes you just do what you gotta do.

    Swirls marks - beginners question

Do you mean Rotary? It is a bad idea for a beginner to start off on a rotary- hence the recommendation for a DA. It takes time and practice to master a rotary and there is a learning curve. DA's, unless you drop the tool on your car you won't hurt your paint. And the new DA's like the Griot's...

    Claybar Chemical Brothers Paint Sealant

Paint correction and buffing is an OPTION after claying - not a requirement. SilverFox- Not sure where the bonded contaminants comment came from after claying since that's the whole point of claying in the first place, unless I misread your post. Personally I would probably at least buff the...
