As with everything else on this board I'm sure a lot comes down to personal preference. Although when Mike endorses a particular tool over another I take that advice seriously. I didn't have the luxury of borrowing or testing the Flex, Rupes, or GG because there are very few English speaking...
Swanicyouth - I can't speak for the OP but the reason I ended up going with the Flex 3401 was I wanted something to tackle the real tough jobs that my PC wouldn't touch, or wouldn't touch as quickly. I was initially leaning towards the Rupes 21 but Mike talked me into the Flex.
I haven't gotten any prices for bulk. And you bring up an excellent point. If you are a niche detailer (with hiche prices) then Ammo makes a lot of sense. I you are a bulk detailer you'd probably want a different product. That doesn't mean his products aren't good or don't work- clearly they do...
Great job man- Love the stripes, that's a great touch!!
..... on a side note. The worst interior I had to do was on a dog groomers station wagon. I actually had to flea bomb it before I could start on the interior. Absolutely disgusting smh
I was paraphrasing - I don't think the exact word was hack. But it was "suggested" he was only marketing his products and had no knowledge or input on the production side which is completely false. He absolutely was in the lab testing which chemicals worked and which ones didn't.
And I guess...
The kit I got came with a 5 inch backing plate iirc, and (6) 5.5 inch hex logic pads. I have used the black pad to apply wax with great success.
I believe AG has similar kits- mine was through CG.
I know Junkman says he likes it. I just ordered some myself but haven't gotten it yet. Once I use it I'll report back. If you dilute it as directed it's really not that expensive. Something many forget is that it's highly concentrated. I also noticed on this forum anything new or not mainstream...
Ditto - get the GG if available. PC is good for up to medium corrections but it just doesn't have the power to do the heavy lifting. Once I get my extra pads for my FLEX, my PC will only be used for interior, headlights, and applying wax.
Welcome aboard..... I've never encountered what you are facing. I know Larry from AmmoNYC has a couple of vids on treating and cleaning leather seats. I'm sure Mike (and others) have some experience with this as well.
