    how many pads to do a detail?

    I usually use 2 pads for each step for small to medium sized vehicles and 3 pads for each step for larger vehicles. So, with a mid sized vehicle using about three steps (compound/polish/finish), I will go through about 6 pads. I will sometimes use an extra pad or two for cutting/compounding...

    Favorite applicator for tire gels?

    I got a 10 pack of rectangular foam pads sold in the kitchen area at the $1 store. They work very well and are dirt cheap. They work well for applying dressing to exterior plastic trim as well.

    Glass fog light restore

    I thought my 2001 Audi A4's fog lenses were plastic. However, they look just like yours. Maybe the switched to plastic for my model year. Either way, nice recovery. Mine were pitted so I wet sanded and polished them back up.

    Pressure washers: What do you use them for?

    I use it to knock the majority of debris off of the paint on really dirty vehicles, I knock down the dirt and brake dust off of wheels and tires, and I use one to clean wheels wells and underbody areas. I also use one to foam my vehicles.
