Which wash method is the "best"?

I know this is probably going to bring up a preference thing, but trying to decide which route I want to truly go. I already sorted committed to the Garry Dean method by buying Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine and a ton of microfiber towels. It still seems odd to me, and trying to think long term...

What does everyone charge for head light restorations?

Critical Details, thanks for the long responses. Also on how often I meant how often you get customers, not on each specific vehicle. Which I hope with using Opti-Lens that it lasts a while.. I practiced on my fiance's car last week. It took me a while to do a quality job like you mentioned...

What does everyone charge for head light restorations?

Does anyone charge over $60? Also how often does everyone actually do headlight restorations?

How do you know if you applied enough Opti-Lens?

I practiced doing my first headlight restoration on my fiance's car. All went well. Just when it came to applying the Opti-Lens I wasn't sure if I applied enough. I obviously don't want to waste product because of it's cost especially when I do this as a business, yet don't want to not apply...

    Tax deductions for tools/products/etc.?

Yeah I agree. I was just saying how I can't delete it. Hopefully this thread can help others who are wanting to eventually start. I'm not sure when I will actually start as for now I"m more serious hobby, and need to wait till I'm ready to take on a business with all the things you gotta do...

What does everyone charge for head light restorations?

Well that kit is better than the really cheap ones I'm referring to, but like I noted above what separates an ok job (WILL fail again) from a great job is the use of some type of UV protection. Opti-Lens is permanent so you also don't have to keep re-applying, but there are obviously different...

What does everyone charge for head light restorations?

Well there's a HUGE difference in quality and durability between those DIY cheapie "head light kits" and the real process of the sanding, compounding, polishing, and the big advantage over the cheapie kits the use of some strong UV protection which I'm going with Opti-Lens as I'm aiming for high...

What does everyone charge for head light restorations?

Trying to see what everyone charges for head light restorations. I'm going to finish with Opti-Lens so with the cost of that (I still have yet to see how many drops/thick to spread the stuff on?) I'm thinking of charging $60/pair? Is that too high, too low?

    Tax deductions for tools/products/etc.?

Amazing posts especially Civdiv99! I'm not even official/started yet so that's why I'm figuring this all out so I make sure I do it all legally, and avoid situations like Civdiv99 said could occur.

    Tax deductions for tools/products/etc.?

Yeah I figured most of this will have to be talked with a CPA, but I just wanted to find out a little for myself before that conversation. Plus it's nice hearing from others who have done this. I'm probably going to go LLC as I don't want shareholders/etc. so I don't' want a corporation...

    Tax deductions for tools/products/etc.?

Even disposable products like the polish and compounds we use? So basically everything I bought up to this point I would have to "sell" to the business I create (aka myself..so silly)..??

First No Rinse Wash - And Used Garry Dean's Method

I was wondering the same for the wheels. That is a good suggestion having a separate set. I'm still wondering what do you do with heavily soiled areas? Common areas like the wheel wells, lower parts of the body, and so on?

    Tax deductions for tools/products/etc.?

I know this is more of a question direct at your local tax agent, but what can you "write" off and what if you guys actually done? Is there is a time frame for these things or just the year? For example I've been accumulating supplies/tools/etc. the past few months, but still not completely...

Another "critique my business name" thread

With the purchasing of another couple hundred dollar order I need to get serious about starting my business as far as the name/website/so on aspect. Let me explain my intentions. I prefer not to have "Detailing" or other similar catch phrases in the name as my ambitious goal is to own my own...

Is this everything I need for a "DIY Head Light Restoration Kit"?

Do you think another pad choice is needed after (either white or grey) with #205 polishing or end at that step, and then do the Opti-Lens? Thank you guys!

Is this everything I need for a "DIY Head Light Restoration Kit"?

I want to add Head Light Restorations service along with detailing. Anyways I need to purchase things individually instead of a pre-made up "kit" as I plan on doing this over and over so buying one of those kits doesn't work out financially or needing the same stuff basically. So does this...
