    Microfiber Towels Linting

I've been using normal wash setting with delicate dry setting. I heard great things about these towels and just find it strange that they are linting so quick. I don't have the space to hang dry all of my MF. I contacted them about the issue and am sending in photos. They seem to have great...

    Microfiber Towels Linting

Do you think using this after washing with regular detergent will solve the problem, or is it too late already

    Microfiber Towels Linting

I just got a new order from Rag Company of the eagle and the spectrum 420 towels. I love using the eagle towels for a WW. The spectrum towels are giving me a lot of issues with linting. I did the intital wash of the towels. They worked fine the first time, but after only using them 2-3 times...

    First detail (polishing question)

Alright thanks everyone. I'll try this out on the next panel and hopefully it should solve my problem.

    First detail (polishing question)

I am working in the shade but in hot hawaii weather. I'm confused about the qd spray. Should I or should I not use it. So prime the pad, add 3 drops, polish, then a spray of qd on to the pad when it dries to finish that section off?

    First detail (polishing question)

I just finished my first section of my first full detail. I'm doing my car by sections/panels since I don't have enough time to do the whole car at once. I am washing each section with citrus wash and gloss, ironx, nanoskin mitt. I have a GG6 with LC flat 5.5 pads. I'm using Menz FG400 with an...

Starting Out Microfiber Advice (Microfiber Tech)

Thanks for all the help. I got excited when I came across the mft labor day sale, but saw that was for 2014.... I ended up placing a large order at rag company due to the free shipping and sale. I got a lot of the spectrum, because it seems like it could cover most applications. I ordered a...

Starting Out Microfiber Advice (Microfiber Tech)

Would it be fair to say the Rag Co. edgeless 365 premium microfiber and eagle edgeless (480) would be comparable to MFT 360 and 530 towels? Rag company seems to be a little cheaper. I really would like to take advantage of the labor day sale and free shipping, but they are out of stock on the...

Starting Out Microfiber Advice (Microfiber Tech)

Would you suggest I get equal amounts of 360 and 530 then? I think the biggest thing is how many of each and for what purpose. Is the lower gsm better for removing polish, wax etc. And the higher one for qd spray wax, waterless wash? To add more confusion, I am looking into rag company now too...

Starting Out Microfiber Advice (Microfiber Tech)

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking of getting 30 of Elite Zero Edge 360 gsm since I will be using them more for polish, wax, sealant removal. I think I could get by with less 530 since I also do not do waterless washes too often. What else would the 530 be used for? Is this the korean edgeless...

Starting Out Microfiber Advice (Microfiber Tech)

I just bought all the products and equipment I need to start my first full car detail (wash, polish, seal, wax), but I now realize I do not have enough microfiber towels to do the job correctly. I live in Hawaii and do have access to PakShak, but I have done some research and Microfiber Tech...

    DA Help and Product Recommendations

Is there any reasoning behind why I should change my pad choice from LC pads? It's my first time polishing. I'm open to any suggestions and just want the best products to order so I don't have to experiment.

    DA Help and Product Recommendations

Thanks Mike and everyone else for all the help. It really makes it easy for someone new to this to feel a lot more comfortable. I'll post my supplies and process I'll be doing for my first full detail in hopes this might help someone else in the future. Car Wash and Dry (Chemical Guys Citrus...

    DA Help and Product Recommendations

Thanks Mike. That makes sense for the matching of the plates to pads. I searched for the different type of pads and it seemed like the hydrotech produced better quality finish, but not as durable? Would going with the flat pads be better for my first time? Exactly how many pads and each kind...

    DA Help and Product Recommendations

Thanks for the responses. I'll try and take some pictures tomorrow to see my paint condition. It's a 2004 camry which hasn't had much maintenance in the past, but also wasn't driven much and will hopefully be in ok shape.... Is there any chance I can use only SF4000 to get rid of swirls? For...

    DA Help and Product Recommendations

I just start taking care of my car about a year ago with only washing and waxing, but I couldn't afford to buy everything to polish it. When I get the cash I'm going to get a Griot's 6" DA, but I'm still a little lost on the whole polishing process. What price point should I be looking for the...

    First Time Collinite 485

Just while my car is new, I'm going to wash with UWW and try rewaxing tomorrow. Should I start on the roof with 3 bottle turn over dots on a foam applicator. Then reapply 2 more dots for each new section (hood, 4 door panels, trunk)? Also what haze am I looking for. If I wait 15 minutes after...

    First Time Collinite 485

So I finished washing and claying my car for the first time. So when I went to wax, I tried to use a really little bit of wax since I looked at previous threads and that was the most posted tip. I'm not sure if I used enough though. I heated up the bottle and shook it well so it was really...
