What steps to take to legitimize mobile detailing?

Also legal websites can help with this. I'm friends with a paralegal though so they did it for me.

What steps to take to legitimize mobile detailing?

I think it varies state to state so I'll just tell you what I did for myself in Ohio. I opted for making an LLC for legal reasons. After you establish that you register for an ein from the federal website. After that all I had to do was register with the state for paying sales tax. If I'm...

How to charge for wetsanding and polishing clear coat?

It's for sure something you don't specifically flat rate calling it I'll wet sand any car for X dollars. I charge hourly for these things but present it as just the finished cost, estimating my hours I will have into the project. Most people don't want to hear $50 an hour and I'll let you know...

    Surbuf R Series Buffing Pads

Another thing to mention is I feel like I use less product with these pads. They mention just 3 small dots and it seems the product does spread better and work pretty well using less compared to using foam.

    Surbuf R Series Buffing Pads

I have them and sometimes use them with my Flex 3401. Never hurts to have options and I have found that they do cut very well but in fact do leave some haze so I wouldn't recommend them as a single polishing step option. Expect to use foam and a finish polish after. I use them with Menzerna...

    Looking for waterless wash advice

Man all these years I've cleaned stuff outside would have loved the wetsuit glove idea. Lucky for me now I have a garage with a drain and heat so I can do full, rinseless, and waterless any time of year in comfort.

    Terrible water spots!

You can try spotless but I usually end up having to go with some type of polish. You may want to try a cleaner wax all in one type deal like meguiars d151.

    Best Wax?

I haven't used fusion, but I have the souveran paste and liquid. They have both given me great visual results but I really like working with pastes as a personal preference. I've heard from some people that the car can attract a bit of a dust using the liquid, I have found that to be true myself...

    Pad Washer Question

I suppose the pad washers could be good if you don't have many pads and want to clean as you work. Again though, I'll say I spend the same amount of time with my method as I did with the pad washer. And as asked above also the flex 3401 doesn't fit perfect into it but it can still be used. Makes...

    Pad Washer Question

I'm going to toss out my thoughts on pad washers here. No idea if anyone else agrees, but I run my business on the side and do 1-2 cars a week cleaning about 12-20 pads a week. I don't clean my pads as I work, I prefer to just have a ton of them to use and I clean at the end. I've tried all...

Where to order custom embroidered business shirts.

Does anyone have any good websites to upload a logo and have custom shirts made? I have a friend locally who does tshirts for me but I'm looking to class it up a bit when meeting with clients for quotes or doing face to face time at car shows. I'm looking to buy a few dry fit polo shirts with...

Is anyone using Square to take payments?

I think it is 3%. I use it for my credit card transactions and also the ability to email invoices is great. The customer can pre pay for the service that I may have quoted them from the email it sends them. Over all I'm very happy. I don't use it much for taking payments because most people...

Product Review: Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating v2

Have you used the dp coating that is the same style of application as this one? If so, how do they compare? I currently offer the DP version as my budget coating option to clients and didn't know if the extra cost was worth it to jump to the black label option.

    ::OPINIONS:: 1st Time Coating

I mostly run cquartz and cquartz uk. But I have also used optimum coatings and the DP brand coating. I used ipa wipe down followed by eraser for all of them and have had no issues with the coatings durability. It seems to have lasted just the same as when using the prep polishes but it is much...

    How can I fix this?

You may also be able to just have them blasted and cleaned up and then just get them powder coated. You would need to do all 4 that way though. Powder coating in my area starts around $250 for all 4 wheels in basic silver or black and goes up in price from there pending the colors your choose.
