The O-ring is just for the lamp and is about 1" in dia. The 2 half's of the complete headlight housing are put together at the factory and I did not have any luck getting them apart. Mine did not have the side marker as part of the headlight so these might cost more money or if your luckey...

Get the rotary and use it on a test car/panel or a old beater car to see what you can do. The rotary will be much faster but will up the DANGER factor
