    Pick My Poison

Do you think the Klasse & CG products will play well together? I know Klasse is acrylic, but have no idea what CG is. Another thought, I realize the main complaint with nuba is durability and longevity, but I really wanted to use it for the look. I'm guessing that any sealant applied on...

    Pick My Poison

Ok, I'm going to be working on a black 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac in the next week and wanted to get some feedback on for a suggested plan of attack. The paint has had some protection in the past, but never any correction. I know my first (and most lengthy) steps will be M105/M205. After...

    Order Of Aggressiveness?

I'm working on correction for a black Sport Trac. Paint still has decent gloss to it and CC intact, but FILLED with spider webs and swirls from improper washing. Several RIDS also, but just looking to minimize rather than remove since it is a DD. I've got a PC 7424XP and planning to start with...

What happens when I use an acid wheel cleaner on the interior?

One tip from pet stain experience - If at all possible, use the enzyme cleaner first. They need to sit awhile on the stain to effectively "eat away" the nasties, but using other cleaners first may render them ineffective. The harsh chemicals of traditional cleaners kill the enzymes before they...

    Drying MF towels your thoughts??

I also use a mesh bag, but still won't put them in totally wet. After a wash, I rinse the towels and then squeeze as much water as possible out. Then I hang them or spread them out on wire shelving to dry. One thing I did discover is that you can hook hangers on the outside of your garage door...

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

What better products have you found? I was considering Black WOW after Back to Black and Black Restore both failed miserably. I REALLY want to get an effective product this time around.

    Crap-n-crackers - Spilled ISP!!!

Thanks for the suggestions! I had always assumed that polishing to any degree would just make it worse, but the thread you linked to has given me some good ideas. Fingers crossed... Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

    Crap-n-crackers - Spilled ISP!!!

While we are on the subject of 3m clear bras, my wife has one on her BMW which was installed before I was around to care for it properly. As a result, this thing has become the bane of my detailing existence. It has plenty of scratches and swirls from automatic washes, but unlike paint (which I...

    Detail supply storage during winter

I keep mine inside of a storage cabinet in an insulated, attached garage. I've got a thermometer in there, which I've been watching carefully over the past month, and the temp has not dropped below 50F with outside temps averaging 58H/32L. The MDF in the cabinet seems to offer some insulation as...

Pinnacle Microfiber detergent making my towels rough?

The one I use is called "Washer Magic". You can order it through Amazon and various other online stores, but I actually found it cheaper at Lowe's. Basically, it is just a solution that you pour into your detergent dispenser and then run through an empty load with the hottest water settings...

Pinnacle Microfiber detergent making my towels rough?

Nope. I actually use it instead of fabric softener even for my clothes. They won't smell like vinegar unless you use too much. Even if you do accidentally overdo it, the odor dissipates into the air in the dryer or during the hang dry.

Pinnacle Microfiber detergent making my towels rough?

Good call. Vinegar will help to break down / remove any remaining mineral or detergent deposits left on the towels after the wash. If I'm thinking correctly, about 1/4 to 1/3 cup in the rinse cycle should take care of the whole load.

Pinnacle Microfiber detergent making my towels rough?

:iagree: I've also used the CG microfiber wash and the towels actually came out softer than they were new. It also seems to really preserve the "static-icity" of the MF. However, Blackfire was on my list to try next. No issues w/ CG, just wanted to see if I might be missing out on something...

Wipe New trim restorer guaranteed to last for 2yrs

I know this is an old thread, but I just saw the commercial again and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this product. I'm leaning toward BS since it's "as seen on TV", but it never hurts to ask.

    Using the app

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like the only thing I'm missing from the other app is a different/better way to access the online store since I would probably view the how-to's and videos from my pc or tablet anyway. In retrospect, it's most likely better (for my wallet) that I don't have any...
