    Taking off old wax/sealants

To prevent the buffer from skipping and ensure an absolutely clean surface to start with.

Super Black Cadillac Escalade by Vision Detailing lots of pics

It doesn't look like the same truck. Just SIP? Not with a PC was it?

Sorry AG, found my new source for tips and tricks.

Sounds about right. I worked at a used car lot for a very short time, we actually had an ok detailer that we outsourced to, but almost all the detailers I have seen in that market are exactly like this guy.

    Klasse AIO, SG & 303

What about products like AW or OPT Car Wax that say you can use it on a wet or dry car? And OPT ID is a concentrate you mix with 3 parts water. I've never heard of mixing SG with water, but there are plenty of qd's and sealants that mix with water. You give great advice, so I don't want to say...

    Taking off old wax/sealants

After washing and claying, an IPA wipe down should get anything left off. Then you can pick your favorite products to do the compounding and polishing followed by another ipa wipe down to make sure the paint is completely clean and all correction is done. You can then do a cleaner if you want...

    Removing Spoiler

Yeah, adhesive alone wouldn't be enough to hold it on there. Thats why I was thinking that they are probably under the trunk liner if he can't readily see them.

Sorry AG, found my new source for tips and tricks.

I think I will put together a list of 113 things wrong with his formula. Why did I just buy a bunch of gallon jugs from AG when all I needed was a few items from the local supermarket. At least he is somewhat knowledgeable, I mean, after all he says "Don't spray it [the citrus] on the leather...

    Removing Spoiler

I agree it looks better with no spoiler. If you are certain that it is only adhesive, then it wont be much of an issue. Just use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat it up a bit, and roll off the adhesive. You might then need something like goo gone to get rid of what's left. Clean, Polish and Wax...

    better wax

There were "specialty" or "boutique" products well before the internet, usually distributed directly from the manufacturer or local wholesale distributors. Also, a product doesn't have to be expensive, rare or from a small supplier, but I guess somewhere in there the line between "professional"...

    Best one-step product?

I like both Optimum Poli-Seal and Klasse All-In-One, neither has much cutting or cleaning ability but both leave behind a great long lasting shine and protection. I will almost always top either with another sealant or wax, and usually use a dedicated polish beforehand. I have not tried any...

    Peeling decal stripe

You can polish and wax right over the top of them, but then you need to go around the edges to remove any residue that might get trapped. Different decals might be different, but I have not had a problem with the ones on my car.

    Shined up my bike

Yeah, I created it based on the needs of the people here. There is still tons more work to do on it though, but most of the back-end is there.

    just wondering

A lot of that is going to depend on what products you are using, and is it a da or rotary? With a da, sure you can get around the door handles. In fact I cant think of any place on the car where a da would not be safe. Whereas with a rotary, you need to be careful about catching an edge and...

    better wax

OK, word of caution is in order. I've had a lot to drink, so if the below doesnt make sense or offends anyone... I'm sorry in advance. What's going on in here? I know that my $20 HDMI cables from NewEgg are better than the $100 HDMI cables from Best Buy, because I know the difference in...

    Shined up my bike

I think it would be awesome, maybe just power coat the engine, but leave the exhaust, handle bars, etc. But yeah, if we all had just a few extra dollars...

    Shined up my bike

Awesome bike OCD, I always like seeing your work. DGPS on blue is an awesome combination and I am really upset that I skipped straight to wax after poli-seal without putting down a couple coats of it first. Are you planning on doing anything with the chrome peices?

    best vinyl and rubber protectant

It doesn't have much of a smell (actually it smells a little pastey), but it vents a lot. The windows will fog like crazy, and you are inhaling all those fumes. It doesn't bother most people, but man it really gets too me, headaches, stomaches, sore throat, light headedness. Every time I have...

    How many coats?

Usually I only do a single coat of each product, but DGPS really responds well to a second coat. If I am not planning on waxing I will almost always do a second coat of my sealant. The problem with multiple coats is the cure time between them if you are working on customers cars.

    2009 WRB Subaru Impreza WRX

Both XMT 180 and SSII are good, I wanted to try Souveran next time. The Legacy has TONS of flake and even with just 180 it looks like someone threw glitter all over the car. It pops so much I actually find it a bit distracting sometimes. My wife would probably kill me if I bought Fuzion.
